"I originally purchased the smaller round rug but after putting it out, I loved it so much that I wanted it to be bigger! It looks great and the quality is fabulous. Very thick and the pile is high so it is very plush. Exactly what I was looking for! The only drawback is it bunches up if you put furniture over it (I have the edges under my couch due to it's size) so I'm constantly having to pull and re-situate it. Other than that, I love it!"

"I received this rug very fast -- less than 3 days without express shipping. The shag is wonderful and feels great on your feet! I love walking on it barefoot. The color was as shown (dark black) -- I am very satisfied with the quality and value. We had to turn the ends under for a day or so to get it to lay flat -- this was likely due to the shipping/rolled condition -- now it is just fine."

"I threw this in our den and it is so cozy and cool looking. We have two toddlers so I was concerned about having a shag with them. But it seems to be working out ok. I love the comfort of it, and color is great too. Goes well with my grey couch.

"I bought two rugs from Home Decorators. One we love and one we will be returning. This is the one we are returning. The shag is way too long and lays flat, so the rug always looks very walked on. Secondly, the color that we purchased was called antique solid and it has a grayish, tannish appearance looking dirty to be honest. Don't care for it at all and will be spending the big $$ as we bought a 10x12 rug for a more traditional rug. Plus we had to wait forever for this one, only to be disappointed."

"I ordered this rug in green, which is a very difficult color to order on line. I did not care for the shade of green, and I was not happy with the texture of the shag. I had planned to use it between two twin beds, hoping that it would provide a cozier feeling than the cold tile floor, but there was nothing soft and cozy about this rug.
It might be just the perfect rug for someone else's purposes, but did not suit mine at all."

"Must admit I was weary of ordering a rug online without feeling the quality and seeing the color. I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered antique white and the color is exactly as expected (off white). The thickness is outstanding. A really great rug for the price! Of course shipping makes the price tag higher but overall a good deal. I'm buying another one for my living room."

"The rug is very nice quality and the size is accurate. The delivery was extremely quick. My only complaint is the color "Antique" that I ordered looks more green than an off-white so will not be able to use under my ivory colored dining room table and chairs. Would return if the shipping was not so expensive."

"This is a well-made rug, a bit darker in person than online. If you're looking for a true shag rug, Id go with the Ultimate Shag Rug; this is less frilly but perhaps more professional. However, if you want to make a statement, go with the USR. Rust color doesn't blend well with light-brown hardwoods, but may be ideal on other floors."

good for a small area rug

"The color is good... I purchased the 6' round rug for my bedroom... it will work perfect for that area... and two small matching rugs for either side of the bed... we have hardwood floors... I would not use this for a main area rug... not enough yarn per square inch... but for low traffic... this rug fits the bill"

"When looking for rugs I clicked on "wool" and instantly ordered this as it was a great buy for wool. Surprise!!! It's not. It is synthetic and it is inappropriately placed under wool. I should have read more of the description. All that being said, it is still a great shag; I left it out on the porch (opened) for 36 hours which got rid of the smell (similar to dead fish). Great beside my bed!"

"It's a very nice rug for the money, the size I purchased fits perfectly (8x8) however the color is a much deeper red then what it appears to be in the photo, it still works for me, just beware if your looking for a bright red, which I originally was."
