"I have purchased several Romantica Rugs in all three colors and sizes 8x10 & 5'8" x 7'6" and love all of them. They are very good quality and the colors are great. I have purhased the most in the Chocolate color, but also purchase the black and cream. Love the all ~ 5 star all the way."

"Absolutely stellar...redoing daughter's room as a surprise while she was away...this was EXACTLY what I was looking for; arrived timely in great condition...everyone is raving about how it ties it all together. Since the colors (I ordered the black and white) are so distinctive a few fuzzies are interloping in the opposite color..I'll be vacuuming them up for a few months I bet..nothing bad, nothing that would detract me from purchasing again. I was going for an Audrey Hepburn/old Hollywood/retro feel with a bit of whimsy...if you saw what the room looked like before you'd flip."

"I love the look and the thickness of the rug. The only thing that is irritating is the way that it sheds large hair balls when vacuuming. Afterwards I have to sweep and dust surrounding areas, but other than that I am satisfied my purchase."

"I purchased this rug in a 5 x 8 size, in the brown/rust/bright spice color. I couldn't be happier with the choice. It is a thick, well-made rug. The colors are absolutely beautiful. The lovely accents are a deep rust for the large pattern, and a bright spice (not peach, salmon, or pink). The picture is almost identical to real life. The only difference I see is the rust color comes off as a little red on screen. The bright spicey color is so close it is amazing. That is what caught my eye. It matches my drapes superbly, and this rug gives my new bedroom a beautiful Touch of Class. Love It. I bought when rugs specifically were on sale, and the price came down to make it a great deal. I would buy this in any color because it is truly beautiful and eye catching."

"I love this rug. It's thick and plush. When I read reviews, especially on items like rugs, I'm always hoping someone will comment on how close the item is to the image, is it lighter or darker, or explain the color because let's face it, all our monitors are different and I've had some big surprises in the past. So, with this rug, I think the color on my monitor was spot on. The background color is a warm ivory, sort of golden ivory as opposed to a pink or grayish oatmeal beige. Both damask designs are carved and are slightly higher than the overall rug height. (more so on the larger one). The large damask color is close to an army green, maybe a bit lighter. Sometimes it looks dark tan but has a slight green sage undertone to it. The small damask it a slightly deeper warm golden ivory than the color of the background. Keep in mind this all changes at different times of day and under different lighting but generally that's as close to a discription I could give. It really does look like the image on my puter. Another thing I like is that the smaller damask is done in a different yarn that has a little sheen to it (depending on which way the fibers are laying). That helps it stand out a tiny bit more since it's so close in color to the background. I like the effect and think had they not done that, it really would have disappeared into the rug. I saw what looked like this exact same rug on anther website and it was described as a Candice Olson rug (from HGTV). It was surprisingly almost twice what I paid here and that was a discount overstocked store that usually has lower prices. Just sayin... Well, I hope this helps you make your decision. Trying to return a rug can be a real pain so the more you know before you buy the better off you'll be."

"The rug is very thick and plush; however, I was disappointed in the color. I was looking for more of a beige rug, as the description stated. The actual color of the background is a CREAM with somewhat of a yellowish tint. The raised design is a greenish gray. If you aren't looking for an exact match, this is a beautiful rug but it is NOT beige."

"This rug is very pretty and dense in texture, however, even after several vacuums the white design fibers continue to run or shed onto the black and looks horrible. See my attached photo. I suppose in other less contrasting color schemes it may look better."

"We just received the rugs - overall very pleased with the purchase. Colors, feel, look - appear to be as advertised. Plush feel to the touch. We are moving so have not yet put the rugs in the new place - so no comment on durability. Just an FYI - we purchased a round and a rectangular rug. The scale of the design is smaller on the round rug - which is OK but was a surprise when we opened them up."

"Never thought I would find rugs to suit my "cottage style" patterned furniture, but this rug was perfect. I worried about the design being too "greenish", but was pleasantly surprised that it was more of a taupe with a hint of sage - very soft, thick, pretty!"

"The rug is beautiful but not made correctly. As stated by previous reviews not a deep black but more muted. I have had the rug for two weeks and have now noticed that the white threads on the smaller floral design are pulling out. This is not the wool shedding. It is not knotted correctly. I am hoping that all the loose threads are now all vaccumed out and the rest will be tightly knotted."

"I bought this rug for my dining room, it's beautiful and I love it! I got the black/white rug and it really makes a statement - love the modern flare it brought to the room on my hardwood floors.
I would recommend this rug if you are looking to make a statement in a room! It's black but not jet black, more charcoal black but looks great! Great thickness too.
You do have to vacuum it several times and the more you vacuum it will shed less.
This was my first rug from HDC, I've already bought a second and looking for my third for in my foyer. Great rugs for the price!"
