"The assembly instructions were not clear when it came to the drawers and had a very difficult time once assembled getting the drawers to shut. There needs to be more specific instructions on how to get the drawers to shut!!!!"

"I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with this item. This cabinet is very poorly designed. I thought I was purchasing a cabinet with enough room for 2 medial rows of letter size files in each drawer or 1 large lateral row of legal size files in each drawer. That is not the case. The description does not clearly explain that each drawer only holds one SMALL row of files, whether letter or legal. The really disappointing part is that the size of the drawers are substantial so it leaves several inches of EMPTY space on one side of each drawer that you can't do anything with. I don't understand why they would have designed the cabinet so big but not designed the drawers a little different. If the interior design of the drawers had been different it would have allowed for storage of a lot more files instead of empty space. Since the assembly of the drawers is the very last step, I didn't not realize this until I had already put the cabinet completely together.
Another note, a couple of the pieces were not put together properly by the manufacturer so I actually had to cut some of the wood myself, then screw and glue the pieces back as they should have been in the first place just so I could assemble the cabinet."

"Good looking piece. Hard to put together, especially the fixed shelf Was disappointed that there are only two file drawers in the console however. Doesn't provide as much storage as I assumed."

"This is a very nice looking piece of furniture. I needed a file cabinet but also something decorative to place lamps, candles etc. I put it in the formal dining room with a mirror above it and it looks great. The finish is very nice. I really like the simple lines and clean look it has.

"I was amazed by the quality of the file console. It looks like a very rich piece of furniture. No one would believe it needed to be assembled. I have placed it in my foyer and the file draws are great for organizing my bills, coupons, magazines and mail and very important papers.. I'll never misplace my keys again. I have also included a recipe file. I have never been this organized. I love it!!!!!"

"I was exceptionally surprised by how well made and how fantastic this piece looked. It definately added to my home office space. The filing cabinet space is ample. I would definately recommend this piece. Attaching the bottom shelf was a little tricky. And, yes, you definately need two people to put this piece together because some of the pieces are long so you need someone to hold the piece into place while the other person screws the piece in place. You won't be disappointed."

"Assembly really requires 2 people --- my adept husband helped me, and he complained the whole way (which isn't unusual, but still...)
I thought the assembly instructions were pretty clear, and the pieces were very well marked. Some of the final screws for the drawers weren't long enough to secure the pieces in place, so my husband had to find some longer ones to replace them with. The drawers had perhaps the least quality construction, which is odd for a file console where the drawers are going to get a lot of use, and hold a fair amount of weight. We'll see.
The trouble is that this comes so tightly packaged in a box, that if you decided you DIDN'T like it (for any reason) you'd never in a million years figure out how to reassemble it in the boxes to return it!
Once built, it's an attractive piece"

"I was sold on the photo of this table, with the dark black and chunky wood look. But, when I got the table and had it put together, I was even happier with the results. I also purchased the matching bookshelves and they look fabulous together. This is in my children's game room. The flat screen TV fits nicely on the table and their games and movies work great in the bookshelves. Definitely a good buy too!"

"This is a filing cabinet that looks more like a pretty piece of furniture. The price was fabulous, couldn't find anything better for close to this affordability.
DEFINITELY requires 2-person assembly, mostly for the lower shelf attachment which requires one person to stabilize the shelf while the other is attaching the piece. Took two of us about 3 hours to complete."

"It sure looks good. It took my handyman an hour and a half to put together. I couldn't have done it. I wish the file drawers slid more easily --a bit of a tug. The inside of the drawers could have been done better. You lose space because the bars to hold the files are not set up well."
