"My husband put the bookshelf together pretty much by himself and it took all evening. He had concerns about something not fitting properly (when I asked him if he had put the piece in upside down, he said no..but an hr later when I cked on him again, he said the part had been backwards..so...) It is nice quality for "put-together" furniture. Its a few steps up from the old Sauder stuff we had as newlyweds. I like the finished look of the trim. But, though I measured it quite a few times beforehand, it still seems significantly smaller than the pictures (shelving is shorter etc). But, I've grown to like it. I like the almond color, it's a softer color than a white would be."

"I ordered this piece for my living room and I absolutely love it. The picture doesn't do it justice; it's bigger (obviously) and the overall craftsmanship is much more defined.
I'd definitely recommend this piece; but have someone who knows what they're doing put it together. That wasn't easy."

"it took three hours to assemble it. but a really issue is it's not solid at all. the size is too big to build with these nuts and bolts. i wish i returned it. but i gave up returning it because it would take another three hours to disassemble it. i took it as a good lesson - NOT BUY IT from Martha brand..."

"The weight of this kit is about 170 pounds and in the case of a book case I think that heavy is good. It is designed to take a decent load, has ample reinforcement and goes together easily. It's worth the money"

"I actually purchased 2 of these bookcases to remodel my home office. These arrived in perfect condition and my husband and I put them together in about an hour a piece. They are sturdy, beautiful and a wonderful addition to our home!"

"Was looking for a bookcase to match the color of my desk and this worked. However, the side of the bookcase had a mark from a forklift and the construction was difficult for two people. The hardware provided for the assembly left a lot to be desired!"

I purchased it a couple of weeks ago. The delivery was very speedy in just 5 days after my order. BUT I'm so DISAPPOINTED.
1. It took half a day to assemble it.
2. This big furniture should not be sold in assembly type because it can be easily broken when it needs to be moved.
3. Once you buy it, it's impossible to return it because it takes another half a day to dissemble it to put them into boxes.

"This is a great bookcase. You do need 2 people to put it together otherwise you risk breaking parts. It was easy for me to put together by myself but two people would have gone quicker and easier. The colour is beautiful, I bought an entire office of this furniture and love it."

"I put two of the MS Ingrid tall bookshelves together, as well as the file console. The bookshelves require a few steps, but the instructions are easy to follow. Follow them explicitly, paying close attention when it states to not over tighten. I love the Ingrid collection. The color, the workmanship, the style. Very sturdy, spacious, and beautiful!"

"The shelves are nicely made, they look elegant, and solid. The 3 shelves in a low piece of furniture like this limit you to two useful levels for books and one minuscule one for other stuff, but that works out for me. I like how solid they are the most. What I dislike the most is the stirofoam coffin they come in. Good grief!!!!!! Stirofoam everywhere, I am not kidding you!"

"I wanted some media shelves for my large collection of CDs and DVDs. I did not like any of the media shelves I saw online, so I decided on 2 Ingrid bookshelves. I have assembled one of the bookshelves and it was the simplest flat-pack furniture I have ever assembled. The instructions were very clear, all parts were present and each of the screw holes lined up accurately. The wooden pegs included for stability were the best quality I have seen. I admit the cam locks are a little tricky but once you know the technique, it is very simple to assemble. The shelves seem a little unsturdy until the back panels are on--don't worry. I trust the Martha Stewart brand and will continue to do so."

"I bought this bookshelf and the nightstand for our bedroom. I love the way it looks, but it was hard to put together and took a long time. It wasn't really difficult, but more frustrating because after I put the frame together and started attaching the back..I realized that the panels were not covering the frame up all the way. So not sure how we could have avoided this or knew that this would happen. Some of the screws on the side where it is not quite overlapping the frame are coming through the other side."

"I bought 2 of the 5 shelf units. One was fine but the other unit looked like it had either been put together before or maybe dropped. It was pretty banged up on one side but didn't notice the issues until it was put together. Will not take it apart to return. The shelves are nice once built. Bought the desk and console too. Love the desk it is beautiful. ...console coming today."
