adequate - but not artisan
Posted April 1, 2011
Its an average chair that when assembled is attractive, level, and sturdy. The chair I purchased has quality control issues. In some areas (strut posts between legs) are not sanded smooth in some areas. The finish is not even (under-spraying and masking lines) on some parts of the chair. Luckily they cannot be seen and remain hidden by the edge of the seat pad. The top front leg bolts (two of four each side) screwed in crooked. The bolts followed the thread - which means they were drilled an angle and the sockets set at an angle too. All other sockets were straight and true to a 90 degree angle. Given the defects and the price - I feel I did not get the value I expected. I need a chair for a library desk so I can live with it, rather than haggle over a return. If It was in my dining room. I'd have returned it.
