"I put this bench together in under 10 minutes. I read reviews about difficult assembly, and don't understand that - it was very easy for me. One of the legs screwed in a bit crooked; I could probably fix it but it doesn't bother me enough to mess with it. Wood legs are very nicely finished. Upholstery is nice. I got the textured velvet in aqua (sort of a brown/aqua/turquoise starburst design). Love the pattern, goes great in our small library in front of a huge bay window. The bench is not cushy... it's very firm padding - not a negative for me. As others have stated, the packaging is annoying - lots of stray, static-charged bits of styrofoam everywhere."

"Just the right amount of color to brighten up the hallway. The contrast of the dark brown background makes a dramatic statement. The velvet of the flowers adds the right amount of texture too. This piece would also look great at the foot of a bed. There it could be put to practical use to hold a comforter at night and all those pillows one decorates their bed with. Looking forward to deciding on the perfect spot for it in my new home."

"We are using this bench at the foot of our bed to sit on while we put shoes on, get dressed etc...Although the legs are on the thin side this bench is very sturdy. The fabric feels thick and durable. We've been shopping benches for two years now and decided to buy this one. We are very happy with our purchase."

"I was truly impressed with the bench. It's sturdier than I ever expected and firm. The material is gorgous and of good qualitly. Easy to put together. I bought matching chairs first and when I was so pleased with them I knew the bench would be a good investment and it was. Everyone who walks into my dinning room is stunned with the beautiful blues and rich browns in the pattern. It is a fun piece to have!!"

"The cushion is darker than I pictured but I was prepared for it from reading the past reviews. The assembly was easy unlike some other reviews. I am 5'7" and my feet do not touch the ground when I sit fully on the bench so it is higher than I thought it would be, but it is great!"

"This was a great buy! Very easy assembly, the price was perfect (I purchased from the online outlet), and when I sit on it there is just so much padding. Its not cheap looking or feeling. If you see this and like it buy it!! I bought the gray velvet one. I paired it with my new gray sofa and black white chairs with pops of color that I can change periodically and love it!!"

"I really like the looks of this bench. It fits perfectly at the foot of my bed. My design style is traditional, and the tufting on this bench is just perfect! The only thing that was a little disappointing is that the brown color is very, very dark. But it will still work. I'm very glad that I purchased this item."

"We bought this bench for a party we were having for extra seating in our living room. We placed it on one side of our coffee table and it makes a stylish statement & great for extra seating. I choose the "mocha" color and thought it would be a dark brown color. However, the color looks more like a mahogany than a dark brown. Other than the upholstery color not being a dark brown as pictured online, we are totally satisfied with our stylish bench."

"My order arrived quickly and on the day the tracking said it would be. Box was slightly beat up but everything inside was perfect. Assembly was not too difficult. One middle screw did not go in but works fine without it, still very sturdy. I ordered the brown and crushed velvet bench. The aqua color is vibrant. The seat is not real cushy but still comfy. I guess it could be used as a taller coffee table but mine is in my entry. I would highly recommend this bench and company. Good deal too!"

"The color was a deep eggplant color, perfect for my color scheme. It is a very hard bench and is microfiber, so it would serve well as a coffee table. I am using it as a place to sit and put on shoes and an accent in the upstairs hallway. It is a good size and very sturdy. The assembly is a bit challenging as the holes do not always line up perfectly, but with some perserverence you can get it to work. It took about 30 minutes to get it all together with "help" from the cats."

"I went from a low coffee table to this taller bench. I wanted something that was more useful and could double as seating, an ottoman, etc. This fit the bill perfectly. Also, my remodeled living room is dark cherry wood flooring and two different shades of taupe/brown. I needed color! The aqua color complimented the browns & dark tones perfectly. Paired with a rug that was also from Home Decorators (Spinner Area Rug in "Mushroom"), I couldn't be happier. You can't go wrong with this item if you want a versatile and fun addition to your living room, entry way, bedroom, etc. Assembly was easy, but did take some wrestling to get the legs to seat against the fabric correctly and for the holes to line up so that the bolts would thread properly. Just be patient and it'll go together with no real problem. Enjoy!"

Holes don't line up

"We spent four hours trying to line up the legs to the holes on the base, they just kept coming out as the legs did not line up to the exact middle to hold the screws. Awful assembly instructions. It was also packed very poorly with styrofoam all over the place and after the four hours of working on the legs we still had to spend another half hour cleaning. We are returning this because it is not usuable without legs, very disappointed :{"
