"STURDY CONSTRUCTION AND METICULOUS UPHOLSTERING.
HINGES ARE A DEFINITE PLUS OVER OTHER STORAGE BENCHES OFFERED. HOWEVER, SOME LIGHTER COLOR CHOICES WOULD HAVE ENABLED ME TO ORDER ADDITIONAL FOR USE IN BEDROOMS.
NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED WAS ANOTHER PLUS."

"OTTOMAN HAS A LOT OF STORAGE ROOM. LOOKS GREAT. NOT QUITE THE COLOR i HAD HOPED FOR. ORDERED PLUM SOLID VELVET AND THE COLOR ISN'T AS PURPLE AS PICTURED. IT HAS A LOT MORE RED IN IT, MABYE CLOSER TO A CRANBERRY COLOR. OTHER THAN THAT, IT'S A GREAT ADDITION TO MY ROOM. CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE!"

"This ottoman is perfect in my living room . It allows more than enough storage for pillows and blankets . With the slow release lid you can be comforted to know its not going to slam on little fingers. Well constructed , two adults can sit comfortably for added seating, and beautiful fabric. The only thing negative thing that i could say is that its not really a charcoal grey , its basically black. Didn't matter , still worked with decor !"

"This storage ottoman is a good size and I like the gray patterned fabric. The storage area is large enough to hold 2 or 3 throws and a couple of pillows. My only complaints are that the ottoman is a little tall when using it to put your feet on. Also the fabric is not quite centered on the top of the ottoman...it is slightly off. You can tell because of the pattern. Otherwise a good ottoman for the price."

"I bought this ottoman to use in my master bathroom. I use it in front of my vanity, as well as for storage of miscellaneous toiletries and travel kits. My bathroom is huge so this piece actually brought a little warmth and coziness to the room. It also has feet on each corner of the ottoman so it slides around on the tile floor easily without scratching it. I love it!"

"I just received my 2 Whitney storage ottomans and I am IMPRESSED! Not only are they great looking, but the workmanship quality is superb. The interior of the ottoman is fabric-lined and the hinges are the high-end type that slowly lower the top lid. I only wish that Home Decorators offered this piece of furniture in more fabric design and color selections -- but I do love my chocolate brown velvet "Whitneys"!"

"I wanted a storage box for the end of my bed to hold blankets and throw pillows. This fit the bill perfectly. The size and color were just right.
I picked the patterned plum, and the color was perfect- not burgundy, not purple, not brown- but a pretty plum. The fabric seems like a cotton or poly with a raised velvet or velvet-like pattern.
The no slam feature is nice. And I love the curvy design. More interesting than a square box. No assembly required."
