"I chose this table because I wanted something a little different in my breakfast room. This table is GREAT. The details set it apart from others that I have looked at. Some of the previous review state that there were flaws however my table was just as I expected. It has an industrial look and therefore I did not expect it to be perfect. It is sturdy, nice looking and was very easy to assemble. The packaging was sufficient enough that there were no problems with the quality of the product. If you are looking for a conversation piece that functions as an every day piece of furniture this is the one to choose."

"I am a designer and purchased this for a client for a pub table in his new home. We put it in his room with an antique pool table. It looks great! The table is very durable and the base is nice and heavy. the rustic wood top is exactly what we were looking for in this room. I highly recommend it! we looked at a lot of other web-sights and this one was the best price and the best looking. a good find!"

Top is not reclaimed wood

"The website and catalog falsely claim that the top of this table is made of reclaimed wood. It's actually a cheap piece of laminate. I own several pieces of furniture that have reclaimed wood tops and this table was purchased to go along with the others in our great room. We have owned it for 24 hours and the top is already scratched----because it's laminate!! Don't be fooled like me."

"I thought this table was a little pricey to be so small, but I'll think of it as an investment, because it is built 2 last FOREVER!!! Solid construction , heavy. Wood needed some oil and it made it darker than what is shown in the picture. Took FOREVER to get here, (was on back order). I'm happy I made the purchase. Very unique looking. Easy to assemble, but you may need 2 people for the top because it is VERY heavy. Crumbs can get in the edges because there's space between the metal and the wood."

"I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this table - the base is solid iron, and the top is solid wood/iron. Easy to assemble - just screw on the top and the lift handle - but be warned - it's really heavy, so it took 2 of us to lift the top on to the base. Looks absolutely amazing in the living room - a conversation piece. The handle to lift/lower the table top works well.
Very happy with the purchase. Would definitely recommend it."

"I really enjoy this table. I have it my office and it serves so many purposes from going through papers, working on projects and just having coffee and reading the paper. But I should have listened to the other reviewers - it is crooked. I have gotten some rubber casters to sit it on and that has leveled it out somewhat. I don't know why all of the tables are coming out crooked - you would think they would be able to fix that!"

"Good thing i am handy. Had to use wood glue and some shims. Because of back order I think they are rushing them. From close up the metal work is really bad around the top. Looks great from a distance and the bottom makes the piece."

"It is slightly unlevel but not noticeable and the paint did come off the post when I first cranked it up. not a problem. probably shouldn't be painted anyway. Perfect for our basement and everyone who sees it loves it. Solid and useful."

"The table assembled very simply but the top is not level. The iron perrimeter is taller than the table top and traps crumbs. The finish is matte and not glossy like it appears in the photo BUT overall, this is an original piece of furniture that adds character to our eat in kitchen."

"I absolutely love this table.
Easy to set up. Note: you will need assistance as this table is heavy (150lbs assembled). Make sure you have some floor protectors under the leg feet too.
I get tons of compliments on this table and it fits perfectly for my kitchen eat-in nook.
Get the matching chairs as they adjust in height also."

"I was pondering over this item for a while before buying it because of the negative comments. I am truely happy now that I've received it. I've had rave reviews from friends. This is a great conversation piece. I have to tell you that the packaging was a bit destroyed but it didn't affect the product since it's cast iron. The adjustable mechanism works like a charm and the reclaimed wood is fantastic. I love it."

"My designer and I fell in love with this as a game table. Ordered online and had it shipped, it arrived with one leg broken in half! (legs are steel). I called and explained, HD turbo shipped me, which was awesome. Second one had part of foot broken off. Frustrating. Also, when you crank the table up for the first time, on both tables the paint appears to be getting scraped off, so i dont plan on ever raising / lowering once i get to desired height"

"Good solid table with a great look; love the style, love the height options. The top isn't level, but it seems I'm the only one who's noticed, so far. Much heavier than I anticipated, so probably won't use it as I'd originally planned--not something I'll want to move for fun! I do really wish the top was level (that's the reason for the four stars), but it's just to much trouble to return/reorder. I would have rated it easy to assemble- the top just screws down-but the top is too heavy for one person to lift."

"We are generally pleased with this table. It is definitely unique. The crank feature to raise or lower the table works well. Cocktail height will be fun for parties. I am a little concerned about whether the top is sealed. The stain is a mahogany (red brown) color. The base and table top are both VERY heavy. They were shipped separately, arriving on separate days. One leg of the table base had pushed through the side of the box. Efforts to keep the table in place within the box had been made, but the weight of the base may have been too much for those efforts. Even though it had pushed through, the base is solid iron and it did not appear to be damaged significantly."
