"This sofa came delivered to me with a broken leg. As the delivery guy was taking it out of the wrapper, we noticed the leg had broken off. I'm not sure when or how it was broken, but they took it back and are remaking another one. The customer service is excellent; they are going to expedite the replacement. But I'm hoping that the workmanship and quality are not going to cause another breakage if I move it myself at a later point."

"I am thrilled with the purchase of my new couch! I selected the blue velvet and it is lovely. I too was weary of buying it sight-unseen but this has worked out well. I have had the couch for about a week now. It is very comfortable and looks great. My family is all short in stature (avg about 5'4") - and this couch is "fits" all of us "shorties" very well. I would definitely recommend buying from HDC to my friends/family."

"I thought this couch looked beautiful online and I worried about buying it without seeing it in person. I purchased the beige linen one. I am really disappointed with the quality of this couch. The back cushions looked rippled and uneven. Also, the linen cushions looked frayed. The thing I did like was the nail head detailing, its very sharp and Ive gotten a lot of compliments on it. Maybe it was the particular fabric I chose, but I was very disappointed with the quality."

"Love, love, love it! Exactly as pictured. Color is true as well. Very well made and firm. Took approximately 1 month to get but overall would definitely purchase from them again. Delivery guys were very polite as well and helped me unpack it since they are not required to do that."

"I love this sofa! It is exactly what I was looking for. Classic styling. The 3/4 inch nickel-finished nailheads give it a transitional more modern touch. I ordered the grey velvet fabric. Very rich and comfortable with a lovely neutral color. The cushions are nice and firm but still comfortable. It took a little over 6 weeks from ordering to delivery. Delivery was excellent. On time, unpacked at the door and placed where I requested. I couldn't recommend this sofa more."

"This couch is very well made and very comfortable. The color, slate blue, is very true to the computer image. The seat cushions are upholstered on all sides, so they can be flipped for more even wear. We are very happy with our purchase!"

"Very nice sofa! It's always a bit scary buying such a substantial piece on-line, but this one exceeded my expectations! It's firm, but not uncomfortable. The workmanship is well done especially given I ordered the nailhead trim, which is a large approximately quarter size nailhead, which was larger then expected, but it adds to the more masculine look I was going for in my den, lots of Restoration Hardware type metal.
I'm considering a 2nd of these in velvet, minus the nailhead for another room in my home!"

"This sofa is not only gorgeous, it is comfortable; firm support without the "smushed" cushion affect. I also love how my feet touch the ground when I sit on it vs. having a sofa that is so deep my feet dangle...great piece! I'm glad I stalked it until the 12 days of savings in November at 40% off!"

"The sofa is very comfortable and well made. The pillows are firm, the material (we got it in the velvet) is soft, and the construction is solid. THe color is a soft, pretty brown that should hold up to stains well. The only thing I did not like is that the nailheads are quite large. I hadn't quite expected them to be as big as they were (nearly 1 in across) and would have preferred smaller more closely spaced nailheads."

"I ordered both the OTTOMAN & SOFA. Waited FOREVER for the sofa to arrive. I don't think that these transport well as the nailheads on both the sofa & ottoman had dents upon closer inspection which is why I can't justify 5 stars although I DO LOVE the LOOK. Now I am just debating if I want to go another route & look for something else as I don't necessarily want to wait another 6-12 weeks & potentially have the same issue if I opt for the exchange. Becasue of that I am on the fence about recommending but will say if it arrives to you undamaged YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED so I am a YES, BUT WITH RESERVATIONS."

"A bit hard to track it once I bought it from HDC. Had to call several times and shipping times were mixed up so I was unsure when I would receive it. The couch is lovely and just like the picture so I am pleased with my purchase. It had some rub marks from the shipping but I decided not to hassle with trying to return it as I don't have a HDC store near my home."

"I purchased the Rockford sofa in textured red with the nailhead trim. I needed something with a transitional style to update a "tired" living room. It blends well with my more traditional decor for a modern cottage look. The textured fabric is not "soft" to the touch but will be very durable for a household of six. The construction is solid...the cushions are firm and offer good support. My teenage boys don't have any problems stretching out on it!"

"I purchased the Rockford Sofa in black/tan basket weave. It looks very high end and came to a very reasonable price. I did a lot of searching at area retailers and it was impossible to find a couch similar without spending at least $800 more. That was even without customizing the fabric, which would have been an added expense. I love it! It is surprisingly comfortable also!"

"I love my new rockford sofa! I ordered mine in the beige basket weave with nailhead trim, and it is so sophisticated and chic. I was very worried about ordering sight unseen, but I purchased it during a great sale and could not pass up the deal. The beige is very light (not sure what I was thinking as I have a dog, but that's totally my fault) but the basket weave fabric is so luxurious and soft and feels fairly durable. The cushions are nice and firm, but not uncomfortably so. The couch is deep enough for me to lay down in a relaxed fetal position and be comfortable. It's also comfortable enough to nap on. I love the structure of it and that the couch doesn't mush into itself (like very lounge-y couches do) but retains its shape. I think it's long enough for an average person (5'10") to lay straight down and be comfortable.
My shipment was delayed by a week, and I think the delivery men bent a small portion of the arm (and made a small rip in the fabric) but other than that I'm pretty satisfied."

"I ordered the Rockford Sofa in the beige linen fabric with the nail head trim option. It was very similar to a sofa that I saw at an interior design store but was less than half the price. I was a little worried that the quality would not be as good, but I was pleasantly surprised! The sofa looks and feels very well built and it is as beautiful in person as it is in the magazine!"

"The Rockford Sofa is beautiful. Good workmanship and I purchased the beige/white velvet/microfiber. It is firm, but that's what I wanted. It's taylored and elegant but not too formal, although it could be both. I love the color because it makes the small living room look larger. I am very pleased with the price and the purchase."

"I ordered the Rockford sofa and 2 matching chairs in beige velvet with nail head trim. They arrived about 5 weeks later in perfect condition. The delivery men were on time, polite, friendly and efficent. I was a bit worried about making such a large expenditure on furniture online since I ordered the fabric samples by phone but they never arrived. The cushions are firm but comfortable. Now I'm looking for additional furniture to finish off the room. I would recommend that anyone order this sofa and/or chairs."
