"These placemats look very nice, and I hope they'll wash up well. I'm dealing with a toddler here, so any stains we have are usually red sauce that's nice and ground in. They lay relatively flat and do look great on the table.
My only criticisms so far are: on one or two of the placemats (I ordered 8), the crosshatch pattern is a little off-kilter, and because they're made of recycled plastic, I'm assuming I shouldn't also use them as hot pan holders. I imagine some melting could happen.
Now we'll see how they do in the washing machine."

"If ever you want to introduce someone to the benefits of recycling, just show them these placemats! We bought two colors, and the picture sample was accurate for both. Liquid spills just wait to be wiped up but don't soak in. Ketchup cleaned up with a little dish soap and water. We're looking forward to our first washing machine experience to see how they hold up and are expecting it to be perfect, too."

"I cannot believe how awesome these placemats are! I bought them after looking at hundreds of vinyl placemats that looked cheap or gaudy. These placemats actually look like cloth but water (and other liquids) just beads up and wipes off. Liquids will not soak through to the tabletop which is a plus when using them on a wood surface.
I was even able to wipe a small mustard stain off with a dry napkin!
If you want something that looks like cloth and wears like vinyl these are the ticket!"

"I have been using plastic placemats since I have kids and they are easier to clean. Thought I would try these since the appearance is better. They are great! Look nice and clean up so well. My son spilled tomato sauce on it and thought for sure would have to put in washer. Just dabbed the sauce with paper towel and it cleaned right up with no stain! So glad I purchased these."
