"This piece is assembled using simple pegs and hex-head screws, just like Ikea. But unlike Ikea, the holes don't line up. We had to muscle ours together, and many of the screws didn't line up at all and needed to be forced. On the top shelf, the pegs and screw holes were so far off that I had to simply cut off the pegs (they come pre-glued in place on the side-pieces) so I could get the screw holes to line up. In the end, it's out of alignment, doesn't sit straight, and there are gaps between most of the pieces. It's so far out of whack, in fact, that the top shelf cracked when I tightened the bolts. Also, the description says "sleek finish," but it's actually distressed. Even as "distressed," which can be nice when done well, isn't in this case. There are drips of yellow glue all over. We're sending it back."
