"Actually love this file cabinet, fits right in with my furniture.
Only problem I had was the bottom piece that you fasten the legs to had come off during shipping. It is held on with screws and they are not long enough to stay secure. Had to find longer screws, only problem with this is they ended up poking through to the inside. Had to put shelf liner in the bottom to cover them."

"I bought this filing cabinet for my home office. I didn't want a traditional looking cabinet, but also wanted something very functional. This is perfect, it looks like a piece of furniture and is very functional. Took all of 5 minutes to put on the legs. I highly recommend this cabinet"

"Arrived damaged. The screws on the hinge appear too short and pulled out of the wood. The wood is very grainy and does not look as elegant as shown online. Had to return it."

Poor Base Attchment

"The cabinet has a base frame and comes shipped with the base attached to the cabinet. The base frame pulled off from the cabinet during unpacking (or possibly before shipping, the screws were all over the place). The screws are so shallow (less than 1/4 inch of penetration) that I could not reattach the base frame in the original location. Now it is slighly skewed. Attachment of the legs is easy. This file cabinet is very fragile. If you buy this, cut the box open, don't try and pull or slide the unit out of the box. Don't move it around too often after assembly."

"I sent this to my daughter as a gift to provide some organizational assistance - plenty of room inside for hanging folders. She LOVES it, makes a perfect nightstand. Assembly was simple (just screw on the legs). The finish is lovely,warm cherry and the design lines are beautiful. Hinged top works well. The cabinet was well packaged and delivery info was provided via email. Another great Home Decorators purchase! So pleased that I can count on Home Decorators to provide high quality merchandise for delivery to out-of-state recipients."

"This file box was purchassed to hold some of our overflowing collection of sheet music. It looks nice in our LR next to our piano. It is sturdy, was easy to unpack/assemble (just screw in the legs). The lid is well-hinged, will not slam on your fingers."

"Bought this to keep all our piano music organized. Perfect because it looks like a piece of art and not a filing cabinet. It looks great in our living room next to the baby grand piano. The only negative is that the hinge holding the lid up is a little warped and rubs against the side of the chest every time you open and close it."

"This file cabinet is more like a piece of furniture. I wanted a file cabinet in my sun room for easy access to info I need everyday as I spend most of my time there. It will integrate with traditional, contemporary, or even antique furniture. The lift top stays open and lowers slowly and safely . It was SIMPLE to add the legs to the base and the only tool neede was provided. It took only about 5 min. It offers room for an abundance of files. A great investment."
