Looks great until you turn them on

"Purchased two lamps for the bedroom. They look great until you turn them on. The reeds allow a lot of light to pass through them which blinds you if you look at the lamps. You cannot avoid seeing the light as you walk through the room. We returned them for a refund and would not recommend purchasing them unless you do not plan to turn them on."
