"I really like the way this lamp looks! The shade especially; it is textured and gives soft light. There are two joining metal pieces in the stand that you can see are not connected, but it isn't overtly obvious. It was a bit of a pain to put together, and one piece (a nut? bolt? something?) was missing, but overall I think it's a lovely piece in my living room and I am happy I bought it."

"The problems;
+ Parts don't fit correctly
+ The lamp is lopsided, had to muscle the top and the bottom parts to make it look straight but it still doesn't look straight
+ The washer is too big to fit in the area provided
+ The lamp shade fabric is on crooked so the fabric decoration is completely off
+ The lamp shade itself is supposed to be square but it looks like a dented box and it looks completely off

Overall, this is probably the worst household furniture product I've ever purchased. I literally threw it away because sending it back would've been such a hassle for such a large product."

"Wanted a floor lamp that was more contemporary than the ones I saw at the stores and at a better price. Searched online and found this one that went with my room. Am very pleased with how it looks and it has the switch on the floor that makes it easy to turn off and on since, at my house the lamp is behind the sofa and hard to reach."

"Sturdy, heavy enough not to wobble. Though I put it together alone, I wish I had waited until another set of hands came home to help hold it. It is a bit bigger than we expected, so it may end up in a different spot than it was purchased for, but otherwise we like it."

Hi,
Can you tell me if your lamp is on a carpeted surface? I am looking for a lamp for my husband's office and I know he'll approve of this one, but the base looks small in the picture and I am worried it could not be too sturdy. Thanks.
