Perfect for Traditional Furniture

"Our front living room has brownish/reddish engineered wood floors and inherited antique brown furniture- a lot of it! That's a lot of brown wood... eventually, I will have the furniture professionally painted but in the meantime I needed something lighter to tie it all together. This rug is beautiful- whoever wrote that the bird looks like a possum was correct- especially the face, but it still looks great. Its a traditional print, but my husband thinks it looks Tropical (which I didn't see) so it would also look good with West Indies Traditional. Great buy also! Go for it!! You won't be disappointed. Background is more tan than beige but its still light."

"I absolutely love the colors and design of this runner. I bought it to put at my back door but the color was a little too light to be a good fit there. However, in a room sized rug, this would be fantastic in my muted living room."

"We loved this rug from the minute we took it out of the packaging. The colors are beautiful, the workmanship is top quality, and the style is so pretty. I love the weave, and we have cats with claws and they have not clawed at it once. I agree with others that the background is more tan, not ivory like it looks in the photo. This was actually fine with me as I like the tan better and it won't show as much dirt! We put this in our dining room, which is painted tan and terra-cotta, and the colors go perfectly!"

"I purchased this rug to place on top of brazillian cherry hardwood floors and the colors are perfect for that. The background and the birds are just a tad darker than the picture but not so much that it is completely different than pictured. I will also note that the pattern is much larger than it appears on the picture. Each flower is about 1 ft. wide and each bird is about 1 foot long but it makes it vivid, without being too loud, as the colors are very neutral. It is a loop pile but I found that it was very soft on the feet and it will be very durable. I love this rug & I am very pleased with it! Note - it is VERY heavy so I had a bit of a time getting it unpackaged & unrolled by myself!"

Wasn't expecting a needlepoint rug

"The copy writers should focus less on being cute and flowery, and more on describing the item accurately. This is a needlepoint rug, constructed with little loops instead of cut pile. I have two cats with claws, so I doubt this will last long.
I would exchange it, but I received this as an exchange for another rug that looked cheap, so I'll keep it.
It is a pretty rug that looks like good quality."

"I like this carpet...it'sjust what I wanted and it fits the room perfectly, both the size and the colors/pattern. As others have pointed out the background color is beige, not ivory and the bird really does look more like an opossum, but unless you just stare at the rug, you only notice the overall pattern. I'm very happy with it!"

"I purchased a 4x6 Bijou rug, everything about the purchase was good except the background color of the rug. It is not almond it is a grayish tone. It does not have the warmth of the online photo or the catalog photo. The pattern colors are true and the edges are straight. I would have returned the rug had it been in a signifiant spot, but for us it is in a darker area."

"The pattern is gorgeous, but the color is not the same as either the home decorator catalog picture or from our computer monitors. The description states "almond brown" and the catalog picture looks like either almond or cream background, however in person the entire rug has a muted greenish tinge. We are trying to work with the color as we love the pattern on the rug, but the color is not at all like it is pictured."

"Got the small just to see quality and make sure the colors coordinated. Was very impressed and ordered the 9 X 13 and am completely happy. The backing is nice, the feel underfoot is great and it is just perfect for us. And at a fantastic price for this size rug!"
