"I am very impressed with this product. I was looking for a shelf to fit between a spare refridgerator and my washer in my laundry room and this was the perfect fit. I always am skeptical about self-assembly furniture, but this one was so easy to put together. I was able to do it by myself and had no problems. The instructions were clear and everything fit together perfect. The quality is great for the price, too."

"Even though this is made out of particle board, the parts that show look really good. The only problem I had with assembly was that the backing has screws without pilot holes. They were not self-tapping, so I ended up hammering them in. Not a big deal really."

"when I opened the box and saw all the peices, I was slightly intimidated at the thought of assembly but was pleassantly surprised at how easily it when together. I assembled it in less than 1 hour, by myself, and was impressed at the overall quality of the product. I highly recommend it."

"This closet system looks great! The molding around the top and bottom give it a built-in look. The compartments make it easy to keep organized.
The assembly was time-consuming but not too difficult. It is very sturdy but I wish it were made of solid wood."

A cautionary tale

"I needed more shelf space for sweaters and really liked the look of these cabinets, so I bought this one and the matching open shelf unit. I've put together lots of furniture like this, and this one seemed well organized - everything tagged and bagged. However, the middle structure is quite unstable by itself, so hard to keep all aligned when attaching sides. The instructions showed it being built facedown. which was impossible once the base was attached because the bottom lip prevented it from lying flush, so I flipped it on its back. I then triple-checked that I had the correct sides, but when I was about to attach the bottom braces, I discovered that the sides needed to be switched to align the holes properly. I had to take apart the whole thing and start over. The screws for attaching the back were inpossible to screw in (no pre-drilled holes), so I ended up nailing the back on.
When it was finally assembled, I really liked the look, and it is perfect for my less bulky sweaters. However, when I built the companion piece and put them side by side, they were not the same depth, so if I placed them both flush against the wall, the fronts did not align. I ended up moving this one out half an inch to align the front, leaving a gap behind."
