"Much more rustic than expected - from the picture it looked like a solidly constructed piece - but it's actually some thin metal attached (though with substantial gaps in places) to a wooden frame. It hangs from swivel-type picture hangers so won't lay flat against the wall either. Thought I was getting a bargain at the sale price, but now I know why it was so inexpensive. It'll work for now but will likely end up on the patio."

"I knew as soon as I got the box that didn't weigh anything, that this was not what I thought it would be...
The entire front of this shelf, i.e. that looks like carved wood, is a cheap, thin metal plate. Attached to a couple pieces of wood. It's a dark mustard yellow/ brown, so even if the barn decor type style was appealing, the color would be totally off just about anywhere. I was truly horrified by this piece!"

"The appearance online makes the shelf look smaller than it is, however, when I took them out of the package, I was "wowed" by it's size. I did not think that I could make it work in the choosen area ( I bought 3), however, the turned out looking great and holds allot of my books and nick-knacks. Have had compliments on them from everyone. Good purchase, easy to install and not heavy , so there is not much pull on the wall."
