"Another reviewer mentioned cross pieces between legs, I had same problem. The piece itself is large and high so it has a definite 'presence' in the room. Tons of storage, pretty easy to assemble and it looks great in person. Heavy, solid, just what I was looking for."

"some of the other reviewers thought this piece of furniture was a solid wood piece, however, it is not. It is some type of fiberboard/particleboard wrapped in wood veneer, that's the reason it is so heavy. It chips easily when assemblying. the tracks for the doors are cheap plastic and easy to damage thus causing the doors to slide poorly. if I had paid the original price for this piece I would have been even more disappointed. don't buy this item if you are expecting a good solid wood piece of furniture as it is not."

"I was very concerned about buying this piece since in would have to do all of the assembly (even the drawers!). I was worried about the sturdiness and headache factor, but in the end, the price won out... Boy am I glad I went for it!!! It is a beautiful modern design which fits my decor and it is very sturdy and was easy to assemble, with clear directions. I did it myself in 3 hours, with kids running around."

"This is a great buffet! Better quality and look than I was expecting for the price we paid! We just got married and received a ton of new bar glasses and serverware. This peice fits everything perfectly! We love it!"

"this was exactly what we wanted. Shipped fast and the assembly was more tedious then difficult. My husband took his time and made sure everything fit just right and it took him about 4 hours. the cross bars under were a little tricky but nothing we can complain about. We love the look and it is holding up well with 2 kids. We like it so much we're ordering more of the matching peices. the only thing is that you have to make sure the sliding doors are completely closed before you open any drawers- otherwise you end up knocking into the door and it has banged up the edge of the drawer where it hit. Nothing major nad we are VERY happy with the purchase. Also- we used an electric drill."

"This buffet looks much more expensive in person than online. It was pretty simple to put together. My high school niece and I put it together in under 2 hrs. It is a very heavy piece and is solid wood. Great purchase and excellent price."

"Arrived well packaged, although the box was beat up, the buffet was in perfect shape. My husband and son put it together in about 1.5 hours and it works perfectly. They are pretty good about assembling things, so I can't say if if it would be good for a novice. Excellent piece for the price."

"The good...the buffet is a great size and a very nice looking piece of furniture. At first I thought, "wow this is a great deal." Even assembled, I admit it looks pretty good.
The issues:
Big issue: Quality. The top drawer scrapes against the top of the buffet and sides of the sliding doors. After a week, the top of the drawer finish is wearing off and the sides of the drawer and doors are nicked from too small clearance.
Other big quality issue: the cross beams between the legs do not fit. I removed the legs, readjusted, blew pixie dust...nothing worked.
medium issue: the middle drawer rolls out on its own. I had to remove the sliders that came with the product, fix them, and reinstall.
last quality issue: the niches in the shelves don't align with the shelf supports. oh...and most of the shelf supports didn't fit; I had to hammer a couple in and select a different height for one whre the hole was too small

Small issue: No two pieces are pre-assembled, even the drawers require assembly down to inserting and gluing the various small dowels. Assembly took over 6 hours because of the quality issues. Definitely have another person on hand because of the weight and alignment requirements.
Small issue: Parts provided in 2 large shipments/boxes that arrived several days apart, so I had a large box mid-living room until I received all parts.

I love the look of the buffet, but had I known the frustration of the encountered issues, I would not have purchased. Given the time to assemble (and now to disassemble) and the hassle to ship back considering the weight and packaging, I won't return it."
