Beautiful but Not Practical and Hard to Assemble
Date:April 9, 2013
"I spent about 4 hours assembling this piece only to find that the piece will not fit behind the toilet. I will have to remove a piece from the back (which is almost impossible with the cam locks) in order to fit it over the toilet tank. Also the lowest bar across the bottom cannot be installed until the piece is already behind the toilet. It is a nice looking cabinet and matches the wall shelf that I purchased previously except the hardware is a little different."

Really dumb design!
Date:March 21, 2013
"I got this spacesaver for my kids toilet and it is really stupid. That bar at the bottom has to be installed early on in the construction but completely prevents the spacesaver from being installed over/behind the toilet! Also it is too short for the toilet so the tank can't be accessed and even the flusher is impossible to use. I had to build boxes to raise it up six inches, to a reasonable height."

Beautiful cabinet
Date:March 13, 2013
"I could not find anything I liked at local stores so went on line. I found this cabinet and new I had found what I was looking for. It took a while to assemble but it is all wood, heavy construction and worth every penny. Plan on having someone help you lift it over the toilet to set it. Like I said, heavy construction."

Amazing Piece!
Posted March 11, 2013
I loved, loved, loved, this cabinet! I looked for a long time for a bathroom cabinet that was a piece of furniture, not just a metal or plastic addition to my bathroom. I found it! My husband does woodworking and even he was impressed by the quality! My bathroom looks awesome!

Worth it
Date:January 28, 2013
"This piece is not only very solid (and heavy) but it looks amazing and adds elegance to the bath. You'll be hard pressed to find something like this in a box store and you'll have it for years to come. We purchased the Macintosh Oak and it's a rich deep cherry color with a saucy wood grain. The drawers slide easily, the glass door opens smoothly and it has plenty of storage inside and on top.
It does take a bit of effort to get together, 2 people is best (bring a friend). The bottom back piece can be positioned after the unit is over the toilet but I would suggest forgoing the screws and just using the pegs. Otherwise I have no idea how they expect you to install this without removing the toilet or having a high ceiling. If the plumbing gets in the way you can also omit that piece, we just got lucky with our unit.
If you're on the fence, just do it cause soon they'll be gone. We love ours!"

what I was looking for
Date:December 14, 2012
"This piece was just what we were looking for. It's good-looking and functional. It brings character to our small bathroom that is without other furnishings. It provides nice space for toiletries, towels, medicines, and a few little decorative things.
The packaging was terrific - lots of protection to assure delivery without damage. Assembly was simple enough, but that bottom brace just couldn't be attached because it goes behind the installed toilet. We just set it where it belongs unattached. I think the design could be improved to allow for securing the brace after the piece is set in place."

Big surprise
Date:November 27, 2012
"When I got this cabinet...it was in a long heavy box. I thought it was going to be difficult to assemble...but once I got it all out and inventoried, I had it assembled in less than an hour. Its a little pricey for a bathroom cabinet...but it has excellent workmanship and its a solid piece."

Beautiful Cabinet
Date:November 21, 2012
"Ok so the other reviews are right...Other than not sure about those stating it wont fit over the toilet...I have a handicap toilet (so they say) the tank is 33" so it fit, close but it fit, it's a 34" fit over the tank..I also had to take the front piece that hung over the tank off and the back piece that fits behind the tank off too (I'd call them facings)...The cabinet itself is made very well and actually the side pieces are so heavy you really need 2 people to assemble it...Someone to hold those big sides...Also most of these toilet cabinets are in 2 pieces the legs or toilet sides are separated, from the top, this is all one piece. Has to be built within the sides. There is a bottom brace bar and depending on where your water fixtures are you may have to not use it either, plus once its permanently attached there's no way to get the cabinet off the toilet if you need to work on your toilet..You would have to cut the brace bar to slide the cabinet back over the toilet as it fits behind..Mine is so close to the top of the tank we will also have to slide the cabinet forward to work on the toilet...Who ever manufactured this just didn't think about what you would do later if you would have plumbing problems, the bottom brace and the front facing and back would prevent you from taking the cabinet off the toilet...You would have to pretty much tear the cabinet up to get it moved...So, it's my advice you really need to think about the details of how you put this together...Other than all that it is a beautiful cabinet, and as hardwood goes these days it's made very well, as we all know basically there's no real such thing as solid wood, real grain wood....It's all made with either hard wood of sorts. or a softer wood with a real veneer covering..."

Excellent Space Saver
Date:October 9, 2012
"I purchased the Macintosh Oak color and it's beautiful. It's a nice dark walnut and looks perfect in my bathroom. I was worried it would have too much cherry/red tones but it doesn't. It's a very rich dark brown. So many that I saw on line were either white or Espresso and I really didn't want that. If you are looking for a true brown this is it.
As for the product itself it's very sturdy and when it's all done looks and feels like a very expensive piece of furniture. I love it.
I am a 35 year old woman and I put it together myself. It took a total of 3 hours. It would have been better to have someone to help, but if you don't it can be done by yourself. That are A LOT of pieces and you need to have your wits about you and be able to read/follow directions. It seems overwhelming when you first lay everything out, but the directions are very exact and therefore pretty easy to follow.
Like many others I was not able to install the very bottom cross bar. You don't need it and frankly, I don't know how you would put it over the toilet with it already installed. You would have to put it on last anyway. My advice is skip that and then after you have it over the toilet see if it will even fit with your water supply line and maybe you will add it then.
I am considering ordering another one for my powder bathroom but I have a taller toilet in there and I'm not sure it would work/fit over the toilet.

Be prepared to call the plumber
Date:July 19, 2012
"The looks of this are very nice. However installation is another matter due to the bottom brace. After the fact we see people have cut this out but you would think it's needed for stability. We had to take out the toilet to install this. Also your toilet cannot be more than 27 or 28 inches for this cabinet to fit. A lot of new toilets are 30 inches tall. We had to call a plumber to help with the removal and reinstall of the toilet. It is also shorter than I thought it would be. White has the fake woodgrain. Would be nicer in a soild surface."

Nice Look, but....
Date:June 19, 2012
"We opted to buy these over another over-the-toliet cabinet because it was stylish, hardwood, and more narrow than the others we looked at.
One of the things we were trying to figure out before we bought was the height from the floor to the bottom shelf (measurements not included in product description) as we have high toilets. From the look of it we thought it would be ok. NOT! Four inches too low so we can't close the lid to the toilet.
Manufacturer does not have extensions, so have to have them made (also sets off the back bottom stabilizer, so it has to be remade as well). Sad thing is we bought 2, so having this work done is cheaper then what it would cost us to send it back!
Anyway, nice piece, but if you do not have standard toilets, beware! Hopefully, Home Decorators will start listing the full dimensions of these in the future.

Good Extra Storage

"This piece is good for some extra storage, especially if you do not have a linen closet. Assembly is similar to Ikea furniture, but these are solid wood pieces with veneer. The directions do need to be updated as a couple pieces were drilled differently but if you have put furniture like this together before, it is fairly easy. Watch out for the location of the bottom support span piece and the location of your water supply. I just left this piece out. Still sturdy. I question the longevity of the drawers held together by screws. I added some glue to them as well. Overall good product."

Love the Piece
Date:April 28, 2012
"My Husband and I had no trouble assembling this unit. It seems to be well made for the price. The only negative would be the "bar" that goes at the bottom of the legs behind the toilet. Unless you are installing it before the toilet has been mounted and the plumbing in place, it would be impossible to install that piece. However, I don't think it is really necessary."

Great piece!
Date:April 22, 2012
"This piece is beautiful and looks great in our bathroom! It is solid wood and very sturdy, unlike many of the spacesavers that I have seen in stores. I like it so well that I am planning to purchase some of the other pieces in this line."

Beautiful and well worth the price!
Date:April 16, 2012
"I read the reviews on the assembly prior to purchasing and was expecting a difficult project. It arrived today and I have already completed it! It took me about 3 hours and the instructions were easy. I'm not sure why so many had a difficult time. I'm female and put this together with the tools provided and nothing else. It's a very beautiful piece and looks much better than the usual over the toilet shelving seen. I purchased the Macintosh finish and it's absolutely beautiful."

Date:February 25, 2012
"the instruction booklet was vague and difficult to read. the predrilled holes did not line up, so they had to be hand done again. and how is anyone going to put that bottom bar in after the entire spacesaver is placed over the toilet? That piece does not make sense. I am glad it is finished. However, it was a nightmare."
