"This was my favorite piece in this collection. It took a while to put together, but it is definitely worth the hard work. I love the drawer organizer inserts. Those were a pleasant surprise. I wish they offered to sell these separately. I could use two more sets for the other two drawers. This piece is soooo amazing. I would highly recommend this piece to anyone. Love it, love it, love it!!"

"I bought this cabinet for my sewing room and I love it! The top drawers holds all my rulers including my 24 x 8. The drawer partitions allow me to section off parts of the drawer to keep my smaller rulers in the same drawer. My large cutting board fits on the top of the table for cutting my fabric with my rotary cutter and the height of the cabinet is perfect. I found I can also use this table for ironing with a special pad. I have a small sewing room and this cabinet has been a great space saver. I keep project pieces in the flatter drawers too."

"This was not hard to assemble just time consuming. It does take 2 people and it will take 4 -5 hours. You need to read all the instructions carefully and recommend you lay out all the parts in order. The quality is very good and the peices are very sturdy and heavy. Only think I wish is that there was an optional caster set to be able to move the item much easier. Otherwise I abolutely LOVE it."

"I got both the work table and this piece. I assembled the table first & didn't have any real issues. Assembling this cabinet proved to be a challenge.
Pros: everything is labeled exceptionally well. MOST of the directions are very easy to follow.
Get a friend to help!!! This thing is super heavy and trying to get the sides and top together by myself was not easy. Then I got lost following the directions when attaching the "I" pieces to the back & sides. When I finally had it all together, including the top, I managed to get it upright by myself, looked at it and knew something was not right. Turns out all my "I" pieces were upside down. At this point, I got a friend to come over to help me lay it back down, take it apart & start again. MUCH easier - and quicker - with a helper!
Love how it looks. Perfect height for my Big Shot, trimmer and scoring tool. Love the smooth gliding metal drawer slides.
Drawers are sticking, though. And wood used for drawers is cheap. One drawer side panel is splitting due to a knot in the wood. The drawers are HUGE and do have grooves for inserts to divide up the space which is a nice touch."

"I use this for jewelry storage, its a great size. It was difficult to assemble and is heavy when completed. Made of good quality wood though so I am overall very happy with my purchase. Much better than any cheap particleboard furniture common these days. I replaced the handles that it came with, with more decorative ones I purchased for a more custom look."

"I purchased this for my son to use as a "display case" for his rock and mineral collection. The narrow drawers work perfectly for neatly displaying his rocks (and they all aren't sitting out collecting dust. It looks really neat--like a museum almost."

"I was very impressed with the quality of this product. The instructions were easy to follow. I was able to do the constructing almost entirely own my own. There was only one problem with three screws that I was not able to use on their specified holes."

"My husband gave me my 50th birthday gift: to finish my craft room. I bought 2 of these cabinets, 3 other large and 5 smaller ones. It takes forever to put them together, but it wasn't difficult at all. Patience is a must! Although my husbands deal was he'd put them together as part of my gift, I decided to try the first cabinet myself and ask for his help if needed, but didn't need any after all. Would be helpful to have, literally, a third hand to join some things, but not necessary. I also used my own power screw driver to help my hand fatigue, as well as using wood glue to secure the drawer insides and wood dowels for added strength.
They are beautiful and totally functional for a craft/sewing room. They look AMAZING! Priced several other cabinets but decided on these based largely on price but also function. Saved at least $8000.
My complaint= I wish they used heavier screws and better drawer bases. Great customer service when needed to replace a few items (5 in total between all cabinets). I'll try to post a picture once I finish countertops."

"I purchased this cabinet to hold all my sewing supplies. It is beautiful and very, very heavy. Assembly (thanks to my husband) took several hours, 4 hands were needed occasionally. I wish that there were dividers for all the large drawers. There are only enough dividers for two of the four large drawers. Also, the doors are very hard to open and completely close. Other than that I love it."

"I am so happy with these cabinets! They look great in my craft room. I gave 4 stars for workmanship only because they took hours to put together. I ordered four cabinets in total and my husband and I spent 3 nights putting them together after work. The drawers were especially tricky. However, this thing is STURDY, so maybe it has to be that complicated so it can stand up to the weight of everything that's meant to go inside. I'm very happy with this purchase overall and it was worth the work!"

"Okay, I am not at all handy. NOT AT ALL. So this was tough for me to put together, but I did it! And it's gorgeous!! The only problem is one of the drawers has problems staying on it's slide, but I can probably get a replacement for the metal piece if it really becomes an issue. I really should have taken a before and after picture of my office / craft room. This piece is literally life changing for my organization!! I love it so so much!"

"We are very impressed with how well made the flat file is. We did use wood glue in areas where wood met wood, but even my husband thought it was strong enough that it may not be necessary. You need 2 people to put it together so grab someone and get to it."

"I was in need of good storage for my craft area which shares space with the living room. I found the Martha Stewart Craft Furniture to be just the ticket! I purchased the Sequoia color and it works well with my current furniture. Assembly wasn't too difficult, prior to any assembly, read through the instructions and study the illustrations as doing so will really help at assembly time. I assembled most of the cabinets by myself, until I needed heavy lifting, which my son helped with. These cabinets are very heavy once assembled, so I would recommend furniture sliders if you plan to move them. There were pieces damaged during shipping with nicks and dents, but the HDC Customer Service is phenomenal and very, helpful in getting the replacement pieces I need to finish out my cabinets. Also, if you need dimensions and sizes for any pieces (such as draw sizes, inside dimensions, etc.), the CS goes above and beyond to get that information to you, which is quite helpful when planning a small area and every inch counts! These 8-drawer flat files hold A LOT and the drawers slides smoothly; the hard part is deciding what to store! If you a crafter and will use the draws for punch storage or anything that will be heavy, then I recommend going to Home Depot and getting extra pieces cut that can be added under the drawer bottoms to help support the large flat drawers in order to keep them from sagging or rubbing on the finished drawer support. Overall, I love the cabinets, they're affordable compared to other more expensive flat files (2 for 1 in price actually), and look like expensive pieces of furniture...and for the price, I don't mind doing the labor."

"I received this cabinet several weeks ago but wanted to wait to write this review until it was assembled. I was redoing my craft room and that took some time picking wall color and flooring.
All I can say is WOW! It's beautiful, spacious and well built. It's solid wood and heavy. I was able to assemble it myself and the directions were very easy to follow. I'm in my 50's and have had two carpal tunnel surgeries so if I can do it, anyone can!
It does arrive in three large, heavy boxes so be prepared. I was able to get them in the house myself but it was a struggle. It was packed really well and all the pieces were perfect without any scratches or dents.
I assembled it myself without any help and did the 8 drawers first which took a few hours and did the main cabinet part the next weekend. It took about 5 hours total for me to construct it by myself. Due to my busy schedule I had to construct it over two weekends and I certainly could have done it all at once had I had the time.
The drawers are deep and pull out so you can get anything stored in the back of the drawer easily. This cabinet holds a ton of stuff!
I'm buying another because I love it so much! I highly recommend this cabinet to any crafter. It's exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier!"

"Although it took some time to put this piece together, the quality and sturdiness was wonderful. The packing it came it was incredible leaving no pieces damaged. Instructions could have been better with more pics and piece distinctions. But overall, I am now tempted to
buy a second one. I waited till the free shipping offer and really felt it was a deal. I had a wall piece that fit perfectly on top of it, bought some matching paint (the great martha green) and it looks like one piece. Plus those great drawer divider slats, don't find them in many pieces."
