"I was a little nervous about purchasing a floor lamp online. My main concern was the quality of the base - many floor lamps are lightweight and wobbly - not this one!! The base is very sturdy and heavier than most floor lamps I've seen. The pulls for the light bulbs are nice and heavy as well and the pull action is very smooth. It's a pleasure to turn on! The lamp gives off a natural orange color when the light is on, and is tan when the light is off. It works great for my transitional decor which is neutral/white/blue with accents of orange and turquoise. The only reason I rated this less than a 5 on workmanship was because the cork on the lampshade was rubbed/pushed off slightly on one area. But, this was easily fixed by moving that part of the shade around to the back. If you're looking for a high-quality modern lamp, this is it! I'm actually buying another for my bedroom."

"Our great room is modern decor with warm color fabrics, med-dark woods, and brushed aluminum. This lamp fits in perfectly. Provides a lot of light for reading/sewing. Typically just use one light of two available."

"I bought this for my informal lounge area. When it turned up it was rusted in one area. Rang customer service. A couple of days later I received an e-mail that they would send a new lamp. I was impressed with the way they handled my problem. I love this lamp. Looks better than the website photo. The brushed steel base gives it elegance while the cork makes it modern. The cork has a wonderful texture to it and the light shines through it. I love the fact that it has two light switches. You can have either one light on or two. The pull cord also makes it easier to turn on and off. I would definitely recommend this for any room."
