"Overall it is a very nice bookshelf. I love how it looks. But seriously, the wood shelves are a joke! I will end up having to replace them. One is already falling apart. The shelves are pieced together with several pieces of wood.
All and all, it is worth it for the price I paid."

"Love this bookcase... it's perfect in my Tuscan style office. It was easy to put together although a little cheaply made. Some of the holes were painted over so it looked like you couldn't use them, but the screws went right through. I did have one bolt that wouldn't go in, but it wasn't crucial and for the price/value equation it is perfect.
I wanted something that would add a design element into my office, showcase photos but still allow my faux painted walls to be prominent - which it does perfectly!
I love this bookshelf! It hardly took 30-45 minutes to put together. It did smell for the first week as the stain on the wood needed to be aired out."

"This was hard to put together and I have asembled tons of furniture. This would take the cake of the hardest and bad instructions. Some screws and bolts were lost in the asembly since no part was ever stable enough. I left it with a few missing parts and it was very hard to screw in the top rods since the shelf did not line up. The shelf looks good now that I have it with decor. I would not recomend this to anyone to buy since it is a real pain to put together."

"This is a poorly made product and would never recommend it. Way too expensive for what we got. My husband had to improvise to concoct somthing that would hold the top shelf in place."

"I ordered this Etegere for a blank wall in our Living room that has high ceiling. It fills the space perfectly , the arch softens the lines and it is very well made- the somewhat rustic finish is perfect for our wine country home. Assembly is easier with 2 people but was relatively quick."

"NO assembly instructions. Shelves poorly finished and no suggestions as to finishing. Legs should have some adjusting to level on floor.

"I'm actually putting this in my little girl's nursery. I had some trouble fitting the top shelf in but my husband was able to get it in place finally. It was fairly easy to put together and looks like it does online. I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend."

Great design, poor materials

"This bookshelf arrived in a timely manner and the design is wonderful. The materials however are extremely "rustic" and arrived with dents in the metal and scratches on the very soft wood shelving pieces. Assembly was fairly simple and the finished product looks good from afar. Because of the price, I did not want to bother with return/refunds, etc. - I will just give this to one of my children for storing toys, etc."

"They are sharp looking - defintely rustic but classy - I got 2 side by side. I put lights around the back arch because I'm all about sparkle - maybe that negates the classy but I love them anyway. Directions were poor - I figured it out but it's annoying that there were no explanations - just unclear pictures and one step about shorter screws was missing entirely. Since I did 2 and learned from the first, here's how I found to best assemble: A couple caps in feet had to be carefully hammered in tighter to avoid wobbling so that came first. Then I layed down the bigger frame and propped open sides. Then I screwed in the pipes on other frame. Because it's rustic, the frame and shelves are slightly irregular so I tested the pipes to find where they best fit before screwing in tight because some wouldn't tighten all the way and had to be moved around to work. There are five shelves that were supposedly split into 2 with one letter code and 3 with another but nothing was lettered and I examined all 5 and could see no differences. I placed all shelves (grayish color up - have to keep them from falling over while testing) before attaching tiny screws in them because due to natural differences, I had to shift some around to fit/look better. I then layed frame with pipes on top of other and attached with longer screws (slightly propped up at arch so hands can get underneath - also helps to keep shelves from falling before screwed in). Then lightly screw in shorter screws around frame - believe it or not they are long enough once you tighten. Then stood it up and tightened all screws. Done!"
