Great solid, sleek desk

"Received this desk in perfect condition, very easy assembly. I ordered the green at a price that can't be beat. It's solid and sleek. I also received the Scandinavia side chair in antique white to go with it (very solid) also at a great price. Both pieces look quite elegant together. The drawer fits personal phone book, checkbook, 10" Gateway notebook, my keys and wallet and a pen."

"Bought this desk (black) on sale. It has clean lines, plenty of workspace and foot room. The one drawer is deep enough to place a notebook and pens/pencils in. To clean the desk, I just use a dry cloth or duster to prevent streaks. Can't go wrong for the price."

"We bought two of these desks in white and are thrilled! We were lucky enough to find them on sale, but they would have been a bargain at twice the price we paid. The white is a very nice, soft (not optic) white with a satin (NOT GLOSS) finish. I'm not concerned about smudging or scratching of the top because we are putting glass cut to size on each one, but I have to say I didn't notice any out of the ordinary smudging while assembling and placing them. The drawer is shallow, but we are using them as bedside tables and it is plenty big enough for books, magazines, remotes, etc. Another quick note -- a previous reviewer complained that the legs are not flush with the desk top and therefore gave this item a very low review score, HOWEVER, if installed correctly (i.e. rotate the legs 180 degrees) the legs are flush and the desk looks EXACTLY AS PICTURED."

"I really like this desk. It is deep enough to place a larget notebook computer on and still have some space between the computer and the front edge of the desk.
I would have given appearance 5 stars, but the top of the desk was slightly damaged in shipment. Not bad enough for me to deal with returning it.
Great size for homework, too. Perfect for my teenage son's room!"

"I was looking for a computer desk that was simple and not too big, but large enough for additional desk space...this worked out very well. I'm not much at assembly, so that's always a concern when ordering online. The way Home Decorators allows a person to view the assembly instructions prior to purchase is Great! I knew I would have no problem with the purchase and am very happy with the results"

"I bought this desk for my daughter's room and didn't want to spend a fortune, but also wanted a quality piece that would hold up for years. "This desk is just the right pop of color for my use. The Orange color is very vibrant ! assembly was fairly easy once you figure out which direction the legs go. Only drawback, wish the drawer was a little bigger or deeper for more storage.

"I researched parsons style desks for several weeks before making this purchase: this was the best price by far. I ordered the gray. Assembly was very easy: the desk top, including sliding drawer, came as one piece. Only the four legs had to be attached, which I did by myself, using the included bolt tightener. The desk feels substantial and doesn't wobble. The height is also good. My husband and I can both sit comfortably (He's 6'2," I'm 5'6"). I agree with other reviewers: the finish on this desk is satin, not high gloss, like you may find from other retailers. I do see fingerprints and smudges, which knocks this down from a 5 star for me."

"I originally wanted to buy this table from West Elm but I think they stopped carrying it. It's a nice, basic table -- nothing fancy, but it does have a handy drawer and it's a pretty cool color (I got the green -- nicer in person than on the website). The finish was nice -- not shiny, but that's ok. Enclosed assembly instructions seemed to cover a few different products, because all we had to do was screw on the legs with the supplied hardware -- that's it. Took 10 minutes, tops. No need for drills, glue, hammer, etc. I'd buy this one again."

"I expected a glossier finish, as advertised. I also was hoping for an orange with more yellow in it. Seems the desk just didn't fit right, plus the above, so I had to return it - which was no hassle at all. I appreciate the professionalism with which the return was handled."
