"We bought this based on it's compact size (needed it to fit onto a small wall) and for it's overall look. It arrived in two separate packages, but same shipment within 5 days of ordering. All pieces were in perfect condition and nothing was missing or broken. Assembly was very easy and it was up and in use within an hour of opening the boxes. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of getting this piece. We will definitely consider the other pieces in this same line as we eventually redo the room and space we put this bookshelf up in."

"Happy with the 2 shelves I purchase. Arrived quickly and did need some assembly. The weight of the boxes were somewhat heavy, you may want another person to help. Packaged well and directions to assemble were easy to follow. There is a shellac smell, but gone after a week or so. The wheels are for appearance only as noted in previous reviews. and the shelves cannot be adjusted in height. Still I'm very happy with the wood shelves and the solid structure. A deal for the price."

"Great book shelves we are buying items that are going to last we are preparing for retirement and want to buy items that will last for sure these will last and will not go out of style anytime soon. The only thing I could say bad about them which isn't necessarly bad is the shelves themselves I expected to be a lighter color more rustic looking and they are dark and not rustic looking but they still look amazing!"

"The shelves are real wood, 1.25" thick. Super tough. The extension brackets that stretch the whole way from shelf to shelf is strong metal. I don't have anything bad to say about it. It's industrial looking, would work great in an eclectic situation. The wheels are not working wheels. Always locked. They help to properly hold the weight. They are super tough. You can drag it to where you want once it's built. It's heavy, if lifting would need 2 able people. Overall super happy and it's helped keep my items organized in my office. ; )"

"Good looking, stylish, has the "loft" look. Wide shelves for storage. Went together easily, but we found that a few (about 2) of the hole didn't line up exactly, giving us a few moments of consternation! But quilters are a resourceful bunch, so we turned it upside down, applied the appropriate pressure, and voila!"

"The piece arrived quickly, and had all the parts as listed. It went together easily and I was able to hand tighten all of the screws, if not roll it to another side and the weight shifts and then you can hand tighten. I was able to use only the tools that are included and I assembled it myself in about an hour. I'm a 50+ female, not a handyman.
Would prefer moving casters but still a very sturdy and good looking piece."

"Very easy for me to put together. All predrilled holes matched up, no parts were missing--everything went very smooth. The shelves are not adjustable which is fine with me. Has an Industrial look to it, but not too rustic. I love it!"

"I put these in the dining room with a large-scale reproduction of a postcard from the 1900 Paris Exposition. The metal posts and rivets of the shelving complement/suggest perfectly the Eiffel Tower in the postcard. Wish the wheels on the shelves actually worked, but otherwise so perfect I can overlook this. Easy to put together and they look like a million bucks!"

"Very sturdy.
Husband said it was a swearing-free assembly which is saying a lot for him. He said everything was clearly labeled and the instructions were straight forward.

"I bought this bookcase to go along with the Industrial Empire desk and file cabinet that I previously purchased. Decided that I needed a little bit more storage space. It is perfect in my loft, and fairly easy to put together. However, I will forewarn that it can be a little on the heavy side for one person to put together (especially a petite woman like myself). But I managed to slowly assemble myself. It was a little on the pricey side too, but i think it's a nice addition to my home."
