"After working at the desk for only a few minutes I became painfully aware that the desk knee width opening is a little narrow for my 6'-0" 230lb frame to easily exit and enter. It'll take some getting used to."

"This is a very solid, well made, and good looking peace of furniture. It looks really cool in my office/recording studio.
I thought that since I had to put it together it may be something like what you buy in Ikea or one of the other cheap furniture stores but, this is a very strong and sturdy desk and it's read wood!!! Does not compare with any desks you will find in Ikea :)
First time I buy something through Home decorators and I have to say. Customer service is one of the best I have experienced' great service!! Will definitely buy more stuff from here."

"It looks great in my son's bedroom and he really likes it. The rollers do not work, but it is fine because we will not be moving the desk. They are a nice touch. Highly recommend!"

"I like the look of the desk but the wheels aren't functional which I wasn't expecting. I'd like the wheels to move and have a locking mechanism but they are just for looks."

"Wonderful desk for a small spot. Looks great in our new den alcove. The "wheels" swivel but do not roll. Depending on the angle of the wheels the desk can fit into a smaller space than the actual width measurements. We love it."

"Now that it is assembled, it is beautiful. When I first tried to assemble, the parts did not line up and I was not able to affix the top to the frame. I contacted Home Decorators and they sent a new top and frame. It took about 2 weeks to arrive but assembled very easily when the parts were tooled properly. I am very happy with the finished product."

unopened boxes to fully assembled in half an hour

"- UPS man delivered it at 8, I had it fully assembled by 8:30. assembly is so easy, ikea should take a note.
- packaged very well for delivery. almost too well, i created a mini landfill of styrofoam. but still, very well protected
- delivered as 2 big boxes. either be on good terms with your UPS guy and get him to bring it inside, or make sure there are two people home
- delivered 5 days after i placed the order
- the wheels are decorative, not functional. it's pretty easy to slide, but if you were planning on wheeling this around a lot...not gonna happen

"I really like this piece, but it is smaller than what I expected. I saw the measurements online, but once it arrived and I put it together, I was a bit disappointed. I probably would have still have gotten it, but I would have looked for a bigger to compare it. The desk looks great. I bought the same black chair in the picture and the chair is really too big for the desk. It is tough to open the side drawers without hitting the chair. I will be looking for a better chair. The chair will go great with my leather couch in my man cave, so no big deal. Another feature I hate, the wheels are DECORATIVE, they don't roll or move. Again, the description says that so my fault. In summary, it is a good desk that looks gorgeous. Besides the size and wheels, I would buy it or recommend this to a friend. Just verify the measurements."

"I furnished a whole office room with Industrial Empire pieces: this desk, 2 computer tables, file cabinet, book case and TV table. I used the TV table as low shelves, and put 6 black & brown grommet totes on the shelves with dual computer monitors on top. It looks great with a rug I also purchased from Home Decorator Collection. These Industrial empire pieces are made of a nice dark wood with hammered black components that are somehow simultaneously modern and classic. I put together the pieces myself using only a screw driver and allen wrench."

"I've been working off of a Costco table for years. When i saw this desk in the catalogue I knew it was just what I wanted. It's as beautiful as it looks in the catalogue. I love it. It was incredibly easy to assemble. The drawers slide without effort. The fit and finish are great."
