"I have had this rug in place for some months. The reviews correctly noted that the cream appeared as gray, but I was expecting that and did not mind. The problem is that the rug has not worn well. The edges are fraying. The rug is in a hallway that doesn't have especially high traffic. Our home is occupied by 2 adults and a well behaved cat who doesn't cause rug damage. So, I attribute the fraying to poor crafts-work. I have other rugs from Home Decorators that look great and have worn well, but this one is a disappointment."

"This "Ivory" rug looked nothing like the happy bright Art Deco design depicted. Its background was dull mud gray. The foreground colors were not bright gold or yellow or even any solid color because the fibers were mixed with more of the muddy gray tones. It has no sheen whatsoever. The pattern was not vivid or sharp. It did appear to be of good quality and was very dense as described. I know it is a risk to order rugs on line as different computer screens and the angle at which you look at them change color significantly. I took a risk and did not get what I was looking for. Plus, I ordered a 9x7, so it was very difficult to repackage and return. I had to carry the huge thing to my MDX and take it to UPS to do this for me. I have not received a credit yet, so I hope at least that part will go well. Before I order another rug on line, I might consider ordering the smallest size to see if the color is right and then exchange it for the size I need. This is a lot of hassle though, but even in a major metro area where I live, stores here cannot compete with prices and selection on line in the rug market unless you want an Oriental type rug."

"Purchased largest rug a few weeks ago. Shipment was received faster than expected. Very pleased with the quality of the rug. Previous reviewer was correct in stating that the rug is more beige and has a beautiful gold/brown sheen on part of the design. The only problem is that this is only seen looking back at the rug. The rug is designed with the scrolls opening up one way and the sheen going the other way."

"This rug truly has an awesome design, very 'roaring twenties-esq'. I ordered this rug in the tan color (not the cream) and it should be noted that the lighter part of the design has almost a grey appearance to it when brushed one direction, not bad, but appears a little different than in the online picture. It also should be noted that the pile is not really thick and dense as stated in the description, it's really more of a moderate pile density so I was a little disappointed in that regard as I purchased the rug to soften hard tile floors for my babies. If you are purchasing for similar reasons I'd definitely recommend getting a very thick rug pad to place underneath. I have had the rug for months now and it is still shedding a lot when vacuumed however I'm not certain how long that is supposed to occur. My last complaint is that there are some little clusters of the lighter fibers that are longer than the others so it appears a little sloppy but perhaps trimming them to the same length as the other lighter fibers would correct this. Bottom line, I like the rug but the value could be a lot better for the price."

"The only complaint I have is that it is not cream(even though in the picture it does look like it).It is tan with brown details and gold that gives it a nice sheen.I cant wait to order a larger size for my living room."
