"My neighbor is a cabinet maker and he is making this into a room divder for me , I am very excited to see it in place. As others stated it is not real sturdy would be fine hanging on the wall. And its great that it is not to heavy for hanging. We have to add to it to make it sturdy. It has a lot of charm and it will add character to the room. I purchased two to mirror each side of a large opening."

"Wall gates are very popular for a French Country, country, transistional, rustic decor accent. It is very attractive and perfectly framed in between two windows in the LR. While it is tall, it is easy to handle for hanging. The distressed wood looks great with the taupe wall!"

"I purchased the wall gate to hang on a landing in my stairwell that is two stories high. It is a focal point as I go up the steps, narrow and high enough that it does not look out of place. Everyone who has seen it claims it is perfect, looks like it was meant for the space, as though it was always there!"

"I had been eyeing this for quite a while and finally purchased it during a sale. It looks great hung on an inset wall at a landing on the stairway. I love its character and uniqueness. It is very light, but arrived intact and well-padded. The fact that it is light makes for easy hanging and little worry that it could fall and cause damage/injury. No regrets!"

"This wall panel is gorgeous. I ordered two. Both arrived in perfect condition. Mine look exactly as shown in the photograph. No color variations. They come with wall hangers on the back (like a picture frame) Both of mine were level and straight, and the ironwork was perfect. I was worried they might look 'tacky' or over the top, but they don't. Love these things! Buy, hang, enjoy! :)"

"I read the reviews on this item and they were mixed.
But I went ahead and ordered it anyway. It arrived damaged. It's being returned. It is pretty flimsy and cheap looking. It sure would have looked good in my home if better constructed."

"the quality and workmanship on this product were very disappointing. Many parts of the grillwork were askew and uneven. The overall piece is very flimsy, and the whitewash wipes off on things. And the wood used is basically scrap. Makes me question future purchases here."

"If you want high quality, this is not the product for you. Very flimsy and light, BUT, this is perfect for what I needed to hang on a two story chimney with a classical but rustic look. From a distance it looks great. The first one came broken so a second one was sent immediately, great customer service. The wood on both was darker than pictured. I may distress it some to lighten it but it doesn't look bad. Antiquing effect is a sponged application with some silver paint. Not a lot of craftsmanship but if you want something lightweight with this look that won't be examined closely, then this is great."

"This piece looks more substantial in the photo than it really is. I am going to use it on my wall, but I wouldn't have purchased it if I had been able to touch it first -- it is flimsy. I expect more from HD. The color of the wood is much darker on my piece than shows in the photo."

Just what I needed

"Needed something to merchandise my large foyer wall with window. I hung the beautiful, easy-to-hang, baroness wall gates on either side of the window and it gave the look of beautiful shutters. Now my foyer looks like a European garden. I had been looking at these for a while and glad they went on sale. I especially like how light-weight they are but look very substantial. A very versatile piece at a great price."
