"The color listed on these cabinets is ivory, which seems to me as an off white. But they look more yellow, and they don't match my other decor.
They are also very difficult to assemble, with only pictures, and no directions."

nice to look at, but strange smell

"This file cabinet was true to color, almond white, with the cottage look to it. It took less than an hour to put together, when we were able to. We had to air out the pieces in the garage for about 2 weeks because of the strange chemical/paint smell coming from it. Although it is now in the office, there is still a faint smell lingering. It is important that other potential buyers know about this because the smell does not seem to be going away too quickly. Otherwise the drawers provide adequate space and it looks nice with other white furniture."

"I ordered the Southport 2 drawer file cabinet and the desk. I put the file cabinet together last night with the help of a friend. It was more time consuming than I thought , took about 2 hours. The unit would be perfect if the drawers shut propoerly. The are not flush. Not sure if it was out error or a manufacturing error.
I hope the desk is as nice."

"it is a nice looking file cabinet, but when I was putting it together some of the holes wrernt drilled and some others didnt line up I finally got it together but the drawers dont close right but if they fix those problems it would be nice"

"The design and look of this product suits our needs perfectly. We did encounter some issues that needed to be resolved prior to final use of the product. Some of the surfaces of the product had black speck marks splattered on them right out of the box and required to be thoroughly, but carefully cleaned to remove. Although the appearance of the finished paint is aesthetically pleasing, the very strong odor of the fresh paint is intolerable. After assembly, we had to remove the four cabinets from our home and put it into the detached garage until the odor dissipated to a level where it wouldn't overwhelm the entire house. Once you overcome those two issues, you will find that this item is well constructed and is a great value. We are looking into buying another!"
