Very Nice Cabinet
Date:May 15, 2013
"I wanted a unique looking file cabinet at a good price that wouldn't fall apart, and finally came across this one while it was on sale! It looks great and is sturdy. The drawers are wide enough for legal size documents but can be adjusted to hold letter size as well. My husband built it, but it went together very quickly. Luckily I had read other reviews and knew about the drawer slides needing to be separated, so he didn't have to waste any time trying to figure that one out. I think it's a nice size and a lovely cabinet."

Very happy, great value!
Date:May 8, 2013
"This file cabinet was one of 3 total pieces I purchased from the collection. I love the distinctive Asian-influenced design. I'm using the file cabinet as a nightstand...perfect! Nice deep drawers, and just the right height. The only negative is that the assembly directions left out some important steps. After an entire afternoon of trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, I improvised and realized that the 4 drawer glides are intended to be disassembled into 8 pieces before attaching to frame and drawer sides. Once I figured that out, it was a piece of cake. Excellent price for such a well-made and unique piece of furniture!"

better than expected

"I've built a lot of RTA furniture and cabinets, I found these (2) easy to assemble. Some MDF furniture crumbles during assembly, but this was good quality for the money. These went on each side of a desk and fit perfectly completing my wall to wall library look. After adding some moulding around the top you can't tell they're not custom built ins."

Lovely Product
Date:August 27, 2012
"I am very pleased with my purchase. As others have said, it is a lovely cabinet once assembled. The instructions don't specify that the slides must be separated before the cabinet can be put together. Once you do that, the rest is fairly straightforward. If you can't find the hidden lever to separate the slides, just do a google/you-tube search on cabinet/drawer slides."

"I thought this file cabinet was very easy to put together. Everything was very organized into little labeled packets. Plus the resulting product looks very good with the rest of my furniture."

Problem with hardware
Date:February 11, 2012
"I love the way the file cabinets look, however, there is a problem with the size of the screws that hold the file part of the cabinet in place. The screws that hold the brackets to the side of the file cabinet are too small. When I assembled the cabinets: when I screwed in the "too small" screws, they stripped very easily, it was not a tight attachment. After filling the cabinets with only files, all four of the drawers broke off inside. The screws actually could not hold the light weight of the files or handle the drawer opening and closing. I had to get a person who repairs furniture come to my home and repair all of the filing cabinets. He had to replace the "too small" screws with longer, better quality screws that would hold up when the files were placed back into the cabinet. This was very upsetting to me, since the cabinets had just been purchased and assembled. One cabinet broke the very day I assembled it. The others broke off within the week."

Great File Cabinet
Date:February 8, 2012
"I was looking for something different in a file cabinet and found it in this piece. Very decorative for my home office. It was quite difficult to build...instructions were slightly confusing. All in all it took about 2 hours to build. Was worried at first, because it was wobbly, and came apart. I realized I needed to be patient and let the glue dry. Now it is perfect and I love it."

Looks Great but Difficult Assembly
Date:January 28, 2012
"As other reviewers have stated, this product was quite difficult to assemble. The instructions were not very clear, especially when it came to the slides. The slides come as one piece, but they don't tell you that they come apart, so we actually thought we were missing parts. I felt bad that I ordered this product (along with the desk and bookcase) and made my husband put them together. He was very frustrated after only assembling the file cabinet. The product looks nice, but it was very tedious to assemble."

Very pretty
Date:January 19, 2012
"This product looks great, and was rather difficult to assemble because of some poor illustrations in the directions, but on the whole we were able to put it together without making mistakes. They neglected to drill two holes, so we had to do that ourselves, and happily we did not mess that up, otherwise we may have ruined it. So, I was not happy about that.
Otherwise, we are very happy with the finished product, and love the hanging file inserts that are adjustable to standard or legal size. The mechanism of the sliding drawers works very smoothly, and the size is perfect for our office. We use it as a printer stand."

Knot Asian 2-drawer file cabinet
Date:January 18, 2012
"Let me begin on a positive note. The file cabinet has beautiful lines and proportions. I am pleased now that it is finally assembled.
But what an undertaking! The 50 lbs. box was left outside at the doorstep to my building. I had to carry it up a flight of stairs, which was no small feat!
It was not clear in the description that the file cabinet was not fully assembled. I do enjoy a challenge, but this was not a fun project. The instructions lacked clarity, specifically with respect to the slides. I had to wait over a week before Customer Service provided an answer to my question about attaching the slides. The entire assembly required roughly 5 hours of precious time. This was not a pleasant surprise."
