"It's a great and beautiful piece of furniture, but expect to build it. My husband is a contractor, so he could build it without a problem. The directions are wonderful , but remember you build it, nothing is assembled. It has a strong paint smell. I tried spraying it with fabreeze to remove the smell."

"this piece is a beautiful addition to my office. i have combined it with the matching desk and it is stunning. the color is VERY cream...so it looks good with white even as an offset color. i put this together by myself and it took me about an hour and a half. the instructions were a bit confusing at a couple of parts so there is one place connecting the top of the buffet that is on wrong and wasnt worth taking apart to fix. otherwise it was a breeze."

"Although I was somewhat overwhelmed when two cartons arrived with 16 pages of instructions, I found that it was not nearly as difficult as I imagined it would be. The instructions stated that it was a job for two people; however, since I am single, I did it by myself. The instructions were the best I have ever seen. Each piece was matched with its correct assembly screw, nut, bolt, etc. It did take 8 hours, but was totally worth it! Thank you."

"I bought this buffet with the matching hutch for my dining room. The room is a small space so the pieces really stand out and look wonderful. I wanted something classic with detail, but nothing over the top. It looks like an heirloom that was passed. It was just what I was looking for. It is a great quality piece but did take some time to assemble."

"Beautiful piece of furniture and exactly as appears on the HD site. Very high quality, solid wood. I plan to order the matching china hutch as well. Together, they are a replica of an antique French piece featured in 2011 Country French Magazine. This took my husband about 6 hrs to assemble, a wknd project for most. He has a few tips to share when assembling it: The side drawer rails should be assembled to side walls before side walls are attached to base. Bottom drawer--bottom left drawer rail cannot be installed until after side wall is attached to base and cam locks on bottom side wall are secured. Then bottom left drawer rail can be installed in position OVER the top of secured cam locks. Also, be careful to not over tighten cam bolts, especially in the top panel. I did this and it did not create a visible problem but makes attaching the top panel completely flush/plumb a bit difficult."
