"I needed something for my entry way on which to hang a couple of coats and hats, this fills the bill.
The actual color is darker than the picture on line. I should have ordered the lighter color, but this will do. Fairly easy to assemble. As someone else noted there is a slight gap between the shelf and the shelf supports. The wall anchors that come with it are useless, went to WM and purchased some much better ones. Packaging was very good. The shelf did have a small place on one edge where the stain was not applied, but is not too noticeable. Overall I'm satisfied and would recommend this."

"The Mackintosh Oak stain is a warm deep color. Appearance is comfortable and inviting. The one minor problem is that when put together there was a slight space between the shelf and the corner it is supposed to rest on."

"Lovely wall shelf. When it came it was missing the brackets under the shelf but I contacted HDC and they sent out the missing parts immediately. My son put it together and I did not get the impression that it was terribly difficult. I only wish it had 4 hooks instead of 3."

"I love how this product looks.
And i love the fact that its a part of the Artisan collection.
What i don't get is why create a 42" wide shoe storage and make this product only 30" wide???
Would make much more sense to make it 42" wide and fit it to the shoe storage size in my opinion."

"the shelf is not supper functional as narrow and in Ca where the earth shake on occasion I'd not put much on it. It would have been nice if there were guide holes for the hooks fixtures as there were for other assembly and scews. all in all great color and solid wood not particle or veneer, that is what really impressed me, it's an attractive piece and better value than any thing else I have looked at."

"This looked just as it looks in the picture. My husband put it together with no trouble. He did feel that sturdier wall anchors were needed because of the heaviness of the item, so we used screw in anchors. But other than that, it is a great product for a great value, especially because it is made of solid oak."

"This is a quality product. Real wood, no mdf. Just the right size for my hall and it matches other mission furniture I have. No assembly required and designed to be mounted securely. A little crack in one mirror but they made a satisfactory solution. I will make other purchases from them."
