"The conversion kit is an awesome idea, you can install pendants by just screwing in like a lightbulb. however, it takes some effort to get two to hang level and even, like I did. not impossible though. I would buy again. The shade under the scroll work is fabric, it looked glass to me in the picture...looks good though"

"I like the look and it is such a clever way to add interest in the corner instead of just the recessed lights. But not being a strong person and having a touch of arthritis trying to get a close seal with the plate over the recessed rim was near to impossible. Without the plate being flush to the ceiling the fixture looks like a good idea gone bad."

"Looks better than the catalog picture; however the color is not true to the catalog as many have said. I thought it would be more like a "rust" color, but it is actually more in the line of light green, but the color worked great for my kitchen area. Easy to hang, adds a very professional touch - some may seem the price is high but considering I didn't need an electrician to install, the price is pretty darn good."

"It was exciting to get the fixture and it took me about 10 minutes to install from start to finish (removal from the box took longer). I got the look I wanted above my kitchen sink. Very well made, and everytime I turn the light on, I smile because it is so beautiful and gives off such a romantic glow."

"We had been looking for a conversion kit lighting fixture to convert the two 'high hats' over our breakfast bar for months and were just about ready to have the electrical work done to convert the fixtures when we found these pendant lights. They are elegant and we have gotten many complements on them. The cloth on the shades is leaning toward an light olive beige color, which is perfect for my decor - I'm glad someone else noticed that in a previous review, it made my choice even easier, the color is perfect for our situation."

"The photo and description (both catalog and online) are somewhat misleading. The "brushed bronze" finish looks more black than bronze, and the inner shade more green than tan."

"These lights are lovely and SO quick and easy to install. My daughter and I installed three in about 30 minutes! I had been wanting to convert the three recessed lights over my large kitchen island for a long time but found the conversions needed to be confusing, expensive and not something I could likely do myself. I was so happy to find these and very pleased with the new, updated look they gave to my kitchen!"

"Overall I love the lights. There are 2 areas which I found difficult. Because you wind the cord up, it is difficult to get two lights (or more) to be at the exact same height. There was a lot of readjusting.
Second, the plate fixture that you tighten to the ceiling is not a tight seal and if you just barely touch it, it will move. I would say there is a about an 1/8" or a bit more of space between the ceiling and the plate. My husband tried everything to make the seal tight and it didn't work. If you are standing on the floor, it is difficult to see the gap, but still it bothered me. I will keep them however as they are very pretty and unique."

"I have been converting my recessed can lights one by one - it is refreshing to find this fixture - so different than the standard pendants. VERY easy to install, took me 5 minutes. Hangs over my wet bar, looks fabulous!"
