"I purchased the Gordon Tufted Sofa in blue for my living room in a small house after coveting it online for months. I waited for it to go on sale. This is the first time I've purchased a "real" couch that wasn't a futon, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my purchase! It is both beautiful and comfortable; the centerpiece in my little living room.
The sofa is long and comfortable enough to lie down on, and it looks very elegant and more expensive than it costs. It feels very sturdy and substantial, and my two dachshunds can sit on it without leaving any nail marks or embedding any hair in it.
The sofa arrived early--almost two weeks earlier than the original date given on the website. The hardest part was getting it out of the huge box, which really protected my new sofa. I removed the box by myself and broke it down. Putting on the legs took a couple of minutes. Love this sofa. So glad I bought it!"

"I ordered this sofa for our house that we were building and the minute I opened the box I fell in love. It's gorgeous and more importantly it's comfortable too. So I bought a second one for my living room. The price and quality are well worth the purchase."

"I ordered the Gordon Collection when I was disappointed with the color and damage of the Lakewood sofa. I was told that the Gordon collection was a brighter color and it appears so based on the online picture. The love seat arrived first and I was not very happy with the color. Again, it was much darker/ more gray than it shows on the web. However, the overall quality was good. The tufting was even and nicely done. I was still going to keep it despite the color.
Then the sofa arrived after couple weeks. It was a disaster! The sofa's workmanship was a complete opposite to the love seat. The front panel was very uneven - had bumps all over due to the irregular foam padding underneath the upholstery. Next, it had uneven springs that the cushions wouldn't stay flat. The decorative nailing was uneven. The back top corners did not have enough foam filling so they looked empty and wrinkly. I had to return them both. Otherwise, overall it would have been a very nice set if it were made with more attention to details. I wish I could post more detailed pictures."

"The sofa looks fabulous. It's pretty much the knock off of a high end sofa that I had my heart set on, but this one will do. The natural fabric color is true to the picture. The only thing wrong was my was a little shorter in length then measured. Also, the wheels on the front are awkward, slides easy on wood floors. Fabric needs to be scotch guarded, not practical for a high traffic living or sitting room. It's a nice looking sofa but the craftsman ship is a what you paid for so dont think this will last as long as my last sofa. If you are looking to save money go for it but remember you get what u pay for."

"I am so disappointed with the quality of this sofa! It's 86 max in length (5 inches shorter than the description). The two pads do not quite fit together. They are very hard to sit on, it's not soft at all. But the customer service rep is very friendly and helpful, which i really appreciated!"

"We purchased the Gordon Sofa in Linen and 2 things stood out. At first glance it looks great...at second glance it looks cheap. There is virtually not batting under the fabric so you see indentations where there isn't any support structure. The cushions are only linen on the top and brown fabric on the back. It is also much more gray than the typical linen color you get from PB or RH. The tacks that run around the back are also put in sloppily and not in an even row or evenly spaced. On a positive note, it's an inexpensive sofa and you get what you pay for. I didn't expect beautiful craftsmanship so I'm not disappointed. Let's face it... any piece of furniture that is delivered in a box isn't generally museum quality."

"This couch could be impressive at a party, but as an everyday couch, you might want to save up for something better. It isn't a leather couch, its way too firm out of the box (and im a big guy who sinks into anything "firm"), and frankly you get what you pay for.

This couch isn't real leather, which i expected. What I didn't expect was that the recycled leather looks less like leather and more like plastic or vinyl with leather imprint lines on it, and it is permanently shiny in a way real leather just isn't. I believe this thing is made of plastic with leather dust mixed in. Like a fake leather jacket, you know it the second you're within inches of it.

Other reviews say the couch cushions are firm and I'm ok with firm....but holy cow this thing isn't just firm, its hard. I'm sure over time it'll break in, but we just might change the cushion padding out with something softer.

Look-
This is why everyone here bought this thing. The style of it looks great. It really does. It's impressive from afar, which seems to justify its price. it's currently on sale and I think the sale price is at the high end of what this couch is actually worth.

Shipping-
Seko (the company Home Decorators uses) sub-contracted the deliver to an LA based delivery company. They're the worst. They were rude, lazy (seriously, at one point they put the couch back in the truck and left because it might have had to be carried up some very very wide stairs), and tried to charge me extra because they had to use an elevator (thats right, it totally fit in the elevator, which made their job easier, and they tried to charge an extra $75 for it). Just an awful experience, and when we finally got the couch into our unit (again, super easily done) it felt like they were doing us a favor by delivering a couch we paid for with shipping we also paid for.

"The couch shipped and arrived earlier than expected, and it took about 30 seconds to put the feet on and it was ready to go. It is slightly stiff, but I'm hoping a few naps will help sort that out. All-in-all, I'm very happy with it as the color is true to website pictures and the couch looks great in my living room."

"Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Gordon Chesterfield sofa (in blue). The majority of my household furniture is custom/extremely high quality. I wanted a chesterfield for our office, but since it wouldn't be in a high-use area I didn't want to spend thousands, but still wanted something that would be in keeping with the overall look of the furniture in our home. I took a chance on this piece, and it actually fits in with the overall look of our house really well and looks much more expensive than it is. It is a little too firm for me, but I'm hoping it will soften some as it gets broken in.
The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the delivery experience was sub-par. I paid for "white glove" delivery and had to argue with the delivery men about every step of the process - them putting the sofa in the room, then putting the legs on, and finally, removing the debris. They kept saying they weren't going to be paid for that work, and I kept pointing out that I had already paid for it, and the box was clearly stamped "white glove" service.
Seems like HD should consider an alternative delivery service as it really did impact my perception of the overall transaction in a negative way."

"I bought this for my formal livingroom with the matching loveseat as well. Arrived a week early and very well-packed in box. The boxes and packing material were a bit of a pain to clean up and get rid of on our own, but the sofa legs were very easy to screw on.
I love the look of the sofas! They are a bit firm to sit on. This may soften over time, but Im happy they are in a room we don't lounge in too much. I gave it 4 stars mainly because the color was a bit off from what I expected. I ordered the Natural Linen and I thought this would be more of a cream or ivory color, but it's actually more khaki or biege, even a little grayish. Not a big deal, but just a little off from my expectation. Also I'm not crazy about the casters on the front legs, not sure why the wheels are necessary and I think they take away from the fancy look of the sofa a bit. Unfortunately they are not removable. "The best part of this sofa is that it is very attractive. The workman ship was very poor. One cushion was smaller than the other so they don't line up well. The sofa is very stiff so is not comfortable to sit on, fortunately it is in a room that doesn't get used everyday. Given all that, it really does look lovely in the room."
