"I can’t say that this item exceeded my expectations because I have come to expect the very best from Home Decorator’s Collection, and I was not disappointed. This is a gorgeous piece of furniture; it draws your eye as soon as you enter the room. I have seen similar leather chairs elsewhere for hundreds of dollars more, the quality is excellent and the chair is so comfortable. My only slight complaint would be that one edge of the seat cushion was sewn rather tightly and it lifts up a bit. I’ve only had this chair a couple of weeks so I figure that after a while the leather will relax and this probably won’t be noticeable. I am very satisfied with this purchase, and I also bought the ottoman."

"We absolutely love this chair. The synthetic leather looks and feels 100% real, so I wouldn't let that be a concern. We ordered brown and it blends well with our other leather pieces. I gave 4 stars for 2 reasons: the delivery company was awful. However, HD was quick to rectify the issue. Also, the chair comes with 2 fixed legs and 2 legs with wheels. It's a little weird not to have 4 legs with wheels because having only the front legs with wheels is pointless.
Other than that, a great buy!"

"First, I have to say that Home Decorators in general has been wonderful to work with on all my purchases so far. Second, The Gordon Chair (brown leather) is my FAVORITE place to sit in my whole house! It's VERY comfortable, and provides a great look for a whole lot less! A couple of things you should know. Online the chair looks lighter in color than it is in real life. If you look at the pictures of the sofa, then that's the color the chair is. I seriously LOVE this chair!"

"Looking" chairs. Obviously there are details that don't make them high end, but they look super in a room and if you don't want to spend a fortune and what a high impact in your living space, these are your chairs! I have the brown and they are great! Bonus: they are actually fairly comfortable."

"This chair is a beautiful addition to our living room! We selected the black leather to complement and offset a separate black leather chair in the opposite corner of the room and it's perfect. This chair is pleasantly oversized and an adult can easily curl up into it with a good book! Excellent workmanship; outstanding value!"

"I purchased the Gordon chair for my new living room to pair with a beige sectional couch. I have been looking at this similar style elsewhere for much more money. The leather is not real leather, but I was not expecting that. With 2 small children and pets, I did not want to worry about tearing or damaging real leather. The chair has great syle and looks very durable. It is a very good size and can fit two children in it easily. As an adult, I can sit in it very comfortably and curl up. It is chocolate brown in color, very similar to the picture online. I have it paired with green walls and it looks great. The stitching is a little visiable on some parts of the chair so that's why I gave it 3 stars, but for the price and style it was a great accent chair for the room. I was not disappointed."

"The "leather" on these chairs is not real, and it shows. Cheap material that neither looks nor feels anything like leather. What a disappointment. Wondering why this is such a good "deal?" Wonder no more."

The product description says "RECYCLED leather, ply-cotton". It is not being passed off as top grain buttery soft leather. If you are looking for furniture, especially online, you should be familiar with different types of materials used. The chair is what it is as I state in my review. You get what you pay for and yes in this instance what you pay is great for what you get!

"I've been looking for an over sized leather chair, but they were all out of my price range. I read the previous reviews on the this chair and decided to try it. It exceeded my expectations. Warm dark chocolate color, big enough to curl up your legs and enjoy. Excellent delivery process, right inside my front door. I'm thrilled with my purchase which was under half the price of a brand name look-a-like."

"I've seen one review talk about the chair being "top grain leather" and other reviews hoping the leather will soften. The product description states it is made of "Recycled leather, ply-cotton" - I suggest you look up bonded leather to get an idea if what this is made of. The initial product description stated leather and after receiving mine and determining that it wasn't I returned mine. There's a reason the price is less than 1/3 of what top grain leather would cost. It's decent for what it is - just be aware of what it is."

"This chair has the look of a restoration chair but totally affordable. Lovely blue leather, generous seat, classic buttoning and nail head trim. I have it with a pb linen slip covered modern style sofa and it looks amazing. Only had it for 2 days so will have to see how it wears."

"I love this chair! The blue color looks great with both modern and traditional furnishings. It is a modern twist on a classic "old library" look. The nailheads are not evenly spaced (which is why I gave it 4 stars on workmanship) but I actually like that look. The leather feels great and looks high quality. It is a comfy reading chair. I will need to get an ottoman, I wish they offered a smaller one."

"These chairs are great. I am 5'9 and my husband is 6'2 and we both fit comfortably in these chairs. The brown is not a light brown, a little more rich in person. Beautiful tufted look for an inexpensive price. Very Restoration Hardware but without the high price tag! I really like this...classic pieces that you can move all around your house and change the style of a room whenever you want. They are super versatile."
