"I have been looking for a pedestal, zinc table for fifteen years, after having seen one in a competitor's catalogue--which I couldn't afford at the time. This, though not zinc (I believe) is an affordable option. The design is perfect. The size and height etc., allow for chairs of all types to be used. With no table legs, the chairs can be pushed in closer, allowing for more room around the table and chairs. The table is very heavy-150 lbs., I'd say, so two people will be needed to lift the top onto the base, but that's it-just turn the top until it can't rotate any longer, and it's put together. The only con I have is that the table top had a finish flaw (see photo) that looks as though someone tried to fix, which made it worse. I don't mind things looking a bit aged, but this doesn't sit well with me. I haven't contacted customer service yet, so I can't speak to how it might be handled, but may do so after I live with it a week or two. I have a feeling that some flaws may be inherent to this table top, so if you need everything perfect, this may be an issue for you. Overall, I'd buy it again. Great price and unique table--shipped quickly as well."

"base arrived in good shape but table top was full of stains and nicks. I had to sand it. It is just not a comfortable table for indoors."

"Like the other reviewers, I really love this table. It is so different from other outdoor products, very unique, and I already love seeing it out my back window.
Here are the questions/issues that will probably only be resolved in time:
We live in a warm/hot, humid climate, and I'm wondering how the table and finish will weather. There are a few places on the edges where there was already a tiny bit of rust when I opened the package, and I'm thinking I need to seal those. A little bit of rust doesn't bother me for effect, but we can get carried away down here.
Then there's just the fact that it's going to heat up like a skillet in the sun, but we'll either just use it in the evening, or we can always cover it with a substantial layer of fabric when we need to.
All in all I'm happy with the purchase and hoping I stay that way."

"Placed this table in front of an antique fireplace with design books piled high, and a tall bronze statue in the center. Table packs a huge design punch! It's well made, very heavy and is a wonderful counterpoint to heavily carved European antique furniture. The table's design is cutting edge, and it's price is a real bargain!"

"i received this table in a timely manner from the shipper who was a fine you man. the table went together so easily. The look of this table is AMAZING! already i have received compliments from neighbors. i did have a slight problem with an area on the top of the table, which home decorators compensated me for. their customer service team was so very nice to deal with. i shall have this table for many years to come!!! oh, another thing, this table is strong enough that it is not going anywhere in the wind."

"Beautiful table, very easy assembly and it looks great on our covered porch. Since we've gotten it we don't know how we lived without it--many meals have been eaten outdoors on that table. Only misgiving is that the surface seems to stain easily. It says Zinc in the catalogue but it is only painted a zinc color, which may be a plus in the long run as real zinc is not recommended for food surfaces."
