"I wasn't sure when I ordered this hanger, but at the price I was willing to take a risk.
Wow, it's one heavy duty weathered metal hanger! Very sturdy. It needs to be attached well to the wall beam or joist. It's heavy.
Looks good as an art piece as well as a functional coat or scarf hook.
Defiantly a Victorian look. But not polished!

"This is a really neat idea for hanging jackets and such. The only problem is that it is super heavy and does not come with any type of mounting hardware. I wanted to put it on this one wall, but will have to find another place to hang it. It really should be mounted to a stud or you will run the risk of it pulling a chunk out of the sheet rock. The wall I originally chose does not have a stud in the correct spot. I like it a lot so will try to find alternate location rather than return it."

"Beautiful set of hooks. Really nice looking in the hand as well as in the picture. It did break when handled, we're still going to try and use it. We are mounting it to a wood back and then to the wall."

"I had been looking for metal hooks to hang on the wall that would be strong enough hold jackets, but I could not find anything strong or that did not have an ugly wooden backing in stores. I also could not find anything that was antique looking or wrought iron, which was what I wanted. When I saw this I knew it was perfect for my home, and it was cheaper than most of the metal hooks in stores! It was easy to attach to the wall (with molly bolts for extra support, it doesn't come with screws). I would definitely recommend this piece."

"These hooks did not come with matching screws. I checked with HDC to see if they were omitted by accident but HDC said hardware was never part of the package. I can't simply go down to the hardware store and buy screws because the hooks have an unusual rusty finish that will be difficult to match.
Also, the hooks are extremely heavy. I'm concerned that they will damage the wall."

"I was looking for hooks to mount on a board I bought for a hat rack. I wanted to hang all my husbands baseball caps in one place. I THOUGHT I would have to buy 6-8 individual pieces. This thing is amazing. the hooks are on hinges, so they are movable not fixed. Seems like a useful feature when it gets full!"
