A more than nice bench

"Redoing our living room and trying to wrangle the toys, we thought a bench seat, with storage would do the trick. We were right. Our son loves it and the toys are out of sight when we want them to be. Also, extra seating is nice. This bench is heavy duty, every part is solid wood. The inside of the storage area is split into two equal parts which is nice to divide different types of toys. The style is timeless, so I see this working for other storage when our son is grown."

"If you are matching this white bench with other white furniture, please take note that this 'white' is more of an eggshell white and not a super bright white. The color is slightly off from the pedestal table I am using, but it's not that bad.
Upon taking the various pieces out of the box, I noticed a few flaws and damage with some of the parts which were NOT damaged during shipping as far as I could tell. The front panel with the two rectangles were separating/cracked, the seat back side had a 2" long scuff mark which scuffed the paint and exposed frayed wood.
This mishap is probably due to quality control, therefore I cannot give high praise for workmanship. As a whole, the product does look great and it feels solid.
Of course, HDC's customer service was excellent and I just had to call in for them to send out replacement panels.
I ended up putting the bench together to make sure everything fit and there weren't any other damaged parts. The quality of the wood and hardware seem pretty good. The bench is sturdy and the storage space is excellent!"

"This bench is great looking...it did come with some dings in the wook which I needed to fill with a black marker (it worked).
I put it together by myself...some of the directions were not clear, but I did it.
I replaced another bench with storage to buy this one has has 4 times as much storage as I had.
I LOVE STORAGE!!!!
End of story...worth buying on sale with free shipping!!"

Little Bench

"It was the exact size for our new "mud room" on the 2nd floor. Even has a little area to store things. No grandkids yet, but I can see them one day sitting in grandma's "mud room/sewing room/kid's fun room" on the little bench!!! It is just enough for two people to sit and talk or read a book or just curl up and take a nap, if you're a tired grandchild with just the right pillows and blankets. It's a small room so the spindles in back keep the area open and airy. Cute little bench"
