Drat the Assembly!

"This shelf requires total assembly and of course, I put the covers on the screws before I realized the shelf top was on backwards. The only way to get the covers out was to dig them out with a knife which scratched the shelf and destroyed the covers. I assembled it correctly, put the screw covers back in and spackled over everything. Then I spray painted it. It worked out and the error was mine, but gee, how hard would it had been to ship this thing assembled? It's just a little shelf!"

"The shelves were purchase on line after many months of searching for the right ones. I was worried they would not be as nice as seen on line. When they arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see they were exactly as the picture indicated. Easy assembly and they look great."

"This product would have been great if it weren't for the 4 holes on the top side of the shelf that are plugged with small pieces of matching wood. We were planning on hanging this shelf at eye level and the plugs will be visible. The product looks cheap because of the plugs. I suppose it wouldn't look as bad if it were hanging higher as you wouldn't see the plugs. Still, the plugs were not listed in the description. Unhappy with the product."

"I bought 2 white shelves for my daughter's room and they look great. They were easy to put together and moderately easy to hang. I say moderately easy because the shelves come with a wall template so you know where to drill the holes in your wall. Maybe we got a bad template, but it did not work very well - ended up having to redrill a hole for the first shelf. We did not bother using the template for the second shelf and it went up without a problem. They give you little wood pegs to cover the screw holes on top of the shelf, ours were sort of small and sank into the holes. Not a big deal because generally the top surface of the shelf is above eye level, but just something to be aware of. Overall very cute and sturdy!"
