"I bought a pair of these in black to hang over the Provence desk I bought, and they look wonderful. They're very heavy and sturdy, and the architectural detail really is beautiful. But the best part was the easy installation!"

"Really am happy with these shelves. Ordered 3 in white for my almost 4 year old girl's room. Look lovely. The installantion template really helped to hang them. I put them together and installed all by myself, I am kinda handy but others might need help. Only wish the were pink!"

"This is even more beautiful in person than online. The detail is exquisite! The only problem with it is that it is kind of difficult to hang. You almost have to guess where to put the nails in the wall. We used it to hang my dad's memorial flag that we received from the army at his funeral."

"This shelf looked nice in the box, but was a bit of a pain to install. The problem was no doubt partly due to my drywall and lack of studs, plus I found no template as described in the instructions and other reviews.
I can't speak to the issues removing the label mentioned by other reviewers because at the height I installed it the label is not visible.
However, the plugs that cover the top screws sunk down way too far, so I had to fill the space to make an even surface. However, now that it's installed it looks quite nice and at the sale price I paid, I really can't complain."

I hung this under a small bathroom window for plants. It is beautiful and goes with the rest of the architecture in my turn of the century row home. I agree, though with others, it is tough to hang without a template, and the caps on the screws on the top shelf do sink down into the shelf not flush with the top. Weird.

"The shelf is very attractive and assembly was simple. However, the labels are placed on the bottom of the shelf - where they are MOST visible, as they hang up on the wall. They are extremely difficult to get off the surface!! Labels that peel off easily are available, HD!
Wish Home Decorators would carry more merchandise made in the US rather than overseas..."

"The shelf was delivered quickly and it looks exactly as pictured. It was very easy to put together and hang (comes with a hanging template so you know where to screw the screws). It is heavy and sturdy and I am VERY pleased with it. I would absolutely purchase another one."

Screw plugs are too short

"I purchased this shelf in Sequoia. I found that the screw plugs (covers, according to the installation instructions) were about 1/8" too short so that when I put them in the screw holes, they were recessed. So I had to get them out, pack a thin piece of cardboard in each hole, and then put in the plugs. One plug was also very loose, so I had to glue that in.
It's a beautiful shelf that will look stunning in my foyer, but watch out for those plugs. Otherwise, I would have given this shelf 5 stars in all categories."

"I am extremely happy with the appearance, workmanship and overall value of this shelf. What I did not like are the labels applied to the shelves. They were extremely difficult to remove and since I purchase the black finish any attempt to try and remove the label showed in the finish. You can see where we tried to rub the labels off even using a soft cloth.
The labels were placed on the bottom of the shelf, but as these are placed higher on a wall the top would have been a better choice. I do know they make less aggressive labels and as these labels did not note price I am not sure why they were not used."

"I bought 2 of these shelves with brackets for my " cottage style " garage apt. My husband had no problem putting them together and hanging them. They look wonderful and are very sturdy. Family pics will go on them."

"I bought this in white. It took be about 90 seconds to screw the corbals to the top. and only a couple minutes more to measure my wall and place the provided anchors and screws in the wall. It exceeded my expectations and I could not believe how sturdy it is. Lovely, lovely shelf!"
