"the back panel is screwed on from the back. I can potentially see this as a problem being that the walls and shelves are made of particle board. If the shoes are pushed in too hard, over time i can see them pulling out and this is what holds the unit square. if the back panel had a channel to slide the panel in it will speed up the construction and potentially last longer. The top and bottom are made of hardwood and are nice and solid."

Curious buyer...Weathered Oak or Worn Black?

Did you purchase the weathered oak or worn black? I like the look of the oak but wonder if I'd be just as happy with the black for nearly $100 less. Just wondering which one you are reviewing...
