"I was so happy when this desk (in chestnut) was delivered. A very strong desk; I do my studying with this desk. The height is appropriate. It's pretty heavy duty. Don't let the pics confuse you; it's an awesome desk, heavy duty so I know it will be around for awhile."

"purchased for my son and he loves it! me too! the first came in shambles, but when i called and told HDC they gave me a $25 credit and immediately sent out another one. Could tell it was going to be bad just looking at the box sitting at my front door. Somebody should talk to UPS!"

"The top of the desk is solid and heavy. The legs are OK, but could be sturdier. There's a bar across the back that is in the way and it makes it tough to cross my legs. The finish looks beautiful but it smells awful. I like that there are matching pieces."

"I couldn't wait to unpack my Brexely writing desk, so imagine my disappointment when I saw that one of the legs was cracked. The desk was well packaged, so the crack had to be the result of the quality of the materials or the manufacturing process. Although the crack didn't effect the structural integrity of the desk it sure was unsightly.
I called HDC right away and they were very helpful in describing options to resolve my problem."

"Purchased this for my daughter and son in law. They said it assembled easily and well made. There was a mark in the top wood but their computer monitor sits there. Had looked at many writing desks and feel this desk is very good quality for the price."

"I am so pleased with this desk! I actually found this desk at another retailer for a lot more and was so excited to get it at a great price at Home Decorators. When I placed my order it told me the estimated shipping date was a month away, which I was fine with. Then, to my surprise, it came a week later! The desk itself is well made, feels very sturdy and very easy to put together. it has a drawer that is built into the design so pretty discreet but surprisingly roomy and very functional. It was exactly what I was looking for."
