Good value, system works well for organization
Date:October 5, 2015
" I purchased this base cabinet as part of a larger purchase including most of the items in the Martha Stewart Living Garage series in an attempt to truly organize my garage workshop. This item arrived in good flat-pack condition, and was pretty simple to assemble in comparison to the first item (the tall cabinet, which I managed to assemble with the top on the bottom.) Although probably not heavy-duty gauge for a ton of full paint-cans, the cabinet works fine for several boxes of power tools, and locks, which is great. It's sturdy, but I made sure it was leveled with the leveling feet and then screwed the back into the wall, and drilled holes and screwed it to the drawer base cabinet as one would with a typical kitchen cabinet install. This adds greatly to the look and sturdiness.
Advise: Beware that the instructions are not as simple to understand as IKEA instructions. Read through them a couple times (there are no illustrations of individual steps, and some of the language is strange). Make sure the tabs that hold the shelves in back are pointed upward like U's and not downward when you attach the top and bottom (this is true of the whole series), and make sure you use a little "wonder-tool" utility knife or thin screwdriver to gently pry the other, thinner tabs, out slightly, because they are often painted closed. Also, do not machine-tighten the Keps nuts until you are absolutely finished, because you WILL NOT be able to remove them once they are fully engaged.
The Chinchilla color is a light grey, not purple, not mauve. It's industrial cool, and pleasant. The entire system as pictured is able to hold 15 years worth of tool accumulation, materials, fasteners and house parts without making my simple workshop look like an autoshop. Overall, happy.

Worst purchase ever
Date:August 15, 2014
" This was the worst buying experience I have ever had. First, the expected ship date was 10 days from purchase but we did not FINALLY receive the item for two months. When we did receive it, the instruction for assembly were horrible....they said attach A to B but no pieces were marked with A or B. We essentially had to "figure out" how to put the cabinet together. Crucial brackets for assembly were painted closed and had to be pried up using a screwdriver and hammer. Several pieces were bent and/or dented. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy! "
