Cute sturdy cabinet, but strong odor
Date:March 28, 2014
"I love this cabinet. It is a perfect for the space in my kitchen. I plan to use it as a utility cart to hold cookbooks and have the microwave on top. Everything else was either too wide or too narrow or not wide enough. The only real problem with this cabinet is the odor. It could knock you over when you open the box. Paint, MDF, formaldehyde? We could hardly stand to put it together in the house. The label says it's California MDF and PB compliant, but that's hard the imagine. It's now out gassing on the covered patio. I hope to bring it in the house one day. It's been two weeks and it's still smelly."

"This is the 4th major piece of Martha Stewart Craft furniture I have purchased and assembled, and like the other pieces I own, it is a great little piece. And won't be the last!
As always, it's packed very well for shipping; even so, UPS can manage to find a way to at least dent the furniture in a place or two, but luckily, nothing major.
The assembly methods and instructions seem to have improved slightly since my last piece. The only issue was that the instructions for attaching the drawer sliders assumes the inner and outer slides are already separated, but they're not, and the trick for separating them is much further back in the instructions (but it is there, thank goodness).
The cabinet is a very sweet little piece, and works very well for my need for a shorter, smaller cabinet. The white finish does tend to get little scratches from any metal part that scrapes against it, so that's something to watch out for. But all in all, it's a good piece of smaller craft furniture."

Not just for kids!
Date:February 4, 2014
"I bought this cabinet as a companion piece to the larger Mama Bear version for my sewing room. The other piece is for storage and works well as a cutting table. This piece is purely for storage and it's perfect for my needs. Having assembled the larger version, this one was not at all difficult. I still think better quality drawer slides should be provided, but I did not have to replace either set with this piece as I had to with the other. The lower storage I use to store quilt batting, the deeper drawer for many, many rolls of stabilizer, and the shallow top drawer with its dividers is perfect for storing many different-sized rulers. The height is perfect for a small table-top ironing surface. Super sturdy. Couldn't be happier."
