"This hall tree looks perfect in our hallway. Great for purses, backpacks, and coats. It helps keep a lot of the clutter out of the kitchen.
Workmanship is very sturdy except for the back panel which is kind of flimsy, however it's not noticeable up against the wall and with everything hanging on it.
Very happy with our purchase!"

"I was unable to find a hall tree locally so had to shop online. I had seen other reviews that assembly was difficult. They weren't kidding. Directions didn't always make a lot of sence. I have it up and it serves it purpose but the back is flimsy which is a disapointment. Overall I do like it just wish it was a bit more substantial of a piece of furniture."

The holes are too small!

"The piece is lovely & will serve its purpose in our entryway, but the assembly was killer because of the Cam screw holes being too small. My husband had to pull out the drill to make them wider & we ended up with a hole in the bench. The whole process was frustrating & caused a ton of bickering. Also having to drill the holes left things slightly crooked. We now refer to it as "the bench that love built.""

"The bench is perfect for what we were looking for. It was a great price and looks fantastic. Of course it requires assembly which could be a drawback for some, but my dear husband took care of that while I was out of the house (ahhh). He had one problem with a leg not being sturdy, but otherwise it is fabulous. Looks like a million bucks and gets tons of compliments. The hinged seat cover has a hinge stop on it so that it cannot slam shut on little fingers."

"This fits great in our entryway. The assembly was done by myself, and as long as you have enough space to lay out the parts and about 2 hours of free time, you'll be satisfied with the end product.
The wood finish and sturdyness is nice, but the hangers are not sized high enough to hang a longer (think trench) type jacket without draping over the seat. Also the back piece is not solid, but more like cheap wainscoting - it does look decent when it's mounted, though."

"The only issue I have is it took almost 3 hours to put together, not one as stated in the directions. Some of the holes were not drilled correctly but other than that, I am very satisfied with the finished product. I suggest some kind of finishing plugs for the screws inside of the storage box to make it look better when opened."

"This product is very good quality. It did take about two hours to set up but all the pieces were there and none left over. We did have issue with the walnut stain, the picture online has more brown but in reality there is a lot of red. Looks more like a light cherry. Customer service was great."

"This Hall Tree turned out really beautiful. It is easy to assemble but a lot of work. The only potential problem is that there are no extra screws and nails so if something gets broken or lost there are no spares."

"Although I finally figured out the assembly, the instructions were incomplete. Some of the holes were only partially drilled and it was difficult getting the screws in some of the holes. Overall appearance is excellent, but for the price and work not sure it is worth the value."

"The furniture looks good and is decently made, but for the price of it, the backing of the hall tree is by far the worst part of the entire piece. It is made of this extremely cheap laminate that you have no nail in with these flimsy nails. All they needed to do was put together a nice piece of wood with the same coloring on and make it fit in nicely like the rest of the piece. It is very hard to line them up and now you can see a gap between the 1st and 2nd piece. This would not have been an issue had it been one piece attached with screws. Also, the manual since 1 hr for 2 ppl, it took a little more than twice that long and you better have a power drill to screw in the 100 or so screws or you will never finish it."

"This piece looks nice but I am very disappointed in the quality of the back panel. It's practically cardboard; very flimsy. If someone leaned up against it they may fall through. The directions were kind of difficult to follow and it took about 2 hours to assemble. Overall, I'm not sure I'd recommend it and I'm not sure it's worth the price. I was very excited to have something like this and ended up disappointed."
