"I currently have Eastern Butcher Block chairs (out of business) so in comparing the two models my new purchase doesn't quite measure up. Although, they were the best available on the market I could find at a reasonable price.
The 24" stools lack a cross-bar for foot support (added chair structure) and the supports are square with edges, not round so not as comfortable. The seating appears to be sturdy. The wood quality is not a heavy oak but a less dense variety. Again, don't expect high quality but it is a fair value."

"this stool is compact and attractive looking. i purchased 2 with the rattan tops along with 2 of the davidson stools because i didn't have the space for 4 stools with a back. these stools tuck away nicely under the butcher block table so if space is an issue, i highly recomend these. one of the stools arrived slightly damaged, it has a little bit of chipping on the top of one leg. also the one leg is slightly curved. neither is that visible, you would need to be examining them to find them. i didn't send them back because i didn't want to be bothered with the return, plus the two stools are usually under the butcher block table."

"While the picture online shows the wood to be a bit lighter than reality, this stool is just exactly as stated. Because of it's small size, I wouldn't recommend it for bigger people, but children will fit well."

"Great workmanship: sturdy construction and very nice finish. Wasn't sure about ordering at first because of the decription as "walnut" but the finish is (thankfully) true to the picture and not really what I would consider walnut. Very very happy with these stools!"

"These stools are great. They are very sturdy. A foot rest on one stool snapped away after having it for just a few days. That was a little disappointing. However I contacted the company. They sent us a new one right away and even paid for my shipping to return the broken one. The customer service from this company is AWESOME!"
