"i didn't feel that the stools looked like the picture of the product. the picture evokes a more "stainless steel" type finish and that is not what these chairs have."

"These chairs are exactly what I was looking for in my new house. I needed some modern looking bar stools for my breakfast bar and these chairs fit the bill. I read the reviews and some where good, some OK, but I can say they are sturdy, well made and look great and are the perfect height for my bar. Additionally, they packaging and wrappinig of the product was first rate. It was clear someone had taken the time to design robust packaging."

"This barstool is surprising light and really is brushed aluminum all the way around. I love it! My only complaint is I put it in an office Kitchen space on tile flooring and they are very noisy....added felt pads but hope they stay on!"

"These swivel bar stools look fabulous in our newly remodeled bar room. I wanted something contemporary but wanted lightweight too. These fit the bill...not to mention that they are very comfortable. I was going to order the stationary version of this chair but my husband insisted on swivel ones at the bar. We found them to be reasonably priced as well. We look forward to enjoying them for years to come."

Finding the right stool

"A bad start with stools not the correct height made us hesitate on trying HDC again -- although we have several fine pieces from earlier purchases from this company. So we were happy to find a second stool style in the HDC catalogue a few weeks later. It came preassembled and exactly as shown! It's finish works well with our brushed nickel hardware and our granite top color. HD even helped us delay the UPS delivery due to our 4th of July travel plans."

"Stools look great at kitchen counter. Light color blends in, keeping them light looking. Their narrow size will allow me to fit 4 in a space where I thought 3 would work. (They replaced 3 large wicker bar stools from previous) I will be ordering another one! Hubby thought seat is hard and cold so will get chair cushions and add some color."

"These stools look great, but that's the only good thing I can say about them. No one in my household weighs more than 180 lbs yet the seats on these stools do not swivel easily and they are now all bent forward, making it almost impossible to sit on. I even took one apart to try to figure out how the seat actually bent forward and I just couldn't find what made it happen. I own them a little over a year and the seats have been bent for at least 9 or 10 months and tonite I am putting them on the curb for the garbage men to take. Very disappointing, I expected to at least get 5 years out of them. Maybe they're okay for kids to sit on."

"These stools are very well made and have just the right contemporary feel that I was looking for. I have put them in our game room at the bar. They swivel easily and the bar for your feet makes them a comfortable sit. The finish is a very silvery brushed aluminum. If you are looking for that warm brushed/satin nickel finish this stool is not for you. They fit my needs and the price was right."

where's the foot rest?

"We have bought several bar stools before and this is the first one that has an unusable foot rest. That is, it's too close to the floor and too far away from your legs (and I am 5'7") What's with that? The catalog pic was that of the swivel model (and this was the rigid) but NEVER would I think to look for the foot rest. I got 5 of them and too much hassle to return them so I am fabricating another foot rest to attach to the front so at least our guests can sit in comfort."

"I was very excited to find these swivel, 'navy' type bar stools. I had seen the non-swivel kind in higher end catalogs, but could not find the swivel kind. I was thrilled to find them. They are wonderful. They are light weight which is good, but just so others know. Very happy with my purchase."

"I have been wanting these stools for sometime in my craft room. Finally ordered them and LOVE THEM. They were packed perfectly arriving without any marks/scratches. They are lighter weight than I expected which is great. They are comfortable and very stylish and perfect for my craft room where I need to move them around easily at a counter level project table.
