"The most important consideration in assembly is having enough floor to ceiling room to raising the
spacesaver over the toilet, and clearing the back with the lower cross brace. It takes two people to do this. The instructions were good except for this point. Takes about 2- 3 hours for assembly. Beautiful and functional piece. We love it."

"This is my 2nd space saver. This one is a little bigger and heavier, which is a plus for me. It was very easy to assemble-instructions were very helpful. The only concern I have, is that, the hinge holes are pre-drilled and the doors hang crooked. I had to make some adjustments to make it look better. It looks great in the bathroom. I would recommend this product to a friend."

"Don't let the price fool you. Over the years I have bought many things from HDC. I have never been disappointed. Maybe that is why I keep returning. I have noticed over the years that the assembly has gotten easier and the instructions more clear. I thank the company for that. This little cabinet is just the touch my new bathroom needed. It is sturdy, not flimsy at all. It came with screws to attach to the wall but they are not needed in my case. It does not even wobble when opening the doors. I recommended HDC to a friend and she just recieved a different cabinet the other day and is very happy with it."

"I bought the space saver since it looked a lot like my existing cabinetry in the bathroom. The finish is a bit different but is so close I doubt anyone would notice. The assembly took awhile but was so easy. i did the assembly all by myself even though they recommend two people. No special tools were needed. In fact, I think the only thing I brought out was one screwdriver to put the brackets on and the knobs on the doors. I replaced the knobs since they were a generic silver button type. Looks great and now I have a place to keep my medicines and healthcare products."

"First let me say, we finished assembly and it looks okay in the small bathroom we have. Some of the screws broke and we had to go buy extra. We also had to make adjustments to get it to fit behind the toilet.
I was going to buy more Hampton Bay furniture but I'm not sure I will after this experience."

"Attractive cabinet. Fairly easy to assemble. Requires 28 inches of clearance for the toilet so make sure yours is not higher than that."

"The only concern would be that if you have a low ceiling height that you need to construct the bottom half and then put it in place, and then add the top half. Also I had to cut a notch out of the bottom cross support to allow clearance of my water feed, which comes in throught the wall. I considered not putting the cross piece on but the unit seemed MUCH more stable with it in place."

"Overall the product was well made. Although, I wish the manufacturer used better hinges on the doors, so that when opened, they don't just fall wide open. The color was good and the style good. It was not difficult to assemble.Workmanship was excellent."

"This cabinet is very average, possiblly below average. Like one of the reviewers mentioned, it has an orange color to it. And like a few of the reviewers mentioned the bottom horizontal base is right where the shut-off valve is and I'm still trying to figure out how to fix that problem. I should have listened to the reviews. I guess for the price it's ok but I wish I would have passed on it."

"I purchased this item based on ratings from users on this site, and I found them to be pretty accurate for the most part. The space saver did have a bazillion pieces to assemble, but the directions were pretty clear if you are organized in your setup (the parts are all labeled with numbers). I found it to be extremely helpful to lay all the parts out with the number stickers facing up, in numerical order, since the instructions refer to parts by number in the drawings.
I took another reviewer's advice and bought some nail-on rubber feet (about 3/8" high) to to avoid exposure to water on the floor. It worked out pretty well and did not make the space saver tipsy - however, ours is pretty well captured tight against the wall by the toilet tank, so there is no way it can fall regardless of the feet. (If you do use the nail-on feet, be sure and pre-drill holes for the nails or the wood will split - I learned that the hard way).
In general, everything went together well - I too put the top (cabinet) on last when the bottom was in place over the toilet. Otherwise, I am not sure it could have been installed in our bathroom - not enough head space to put the whole thing in at once and slide it over the toilet.
The door magnets needed a bit of adjustment within the play of the screw holes, and the doors do not line up perfectly in the center, but it could be due to my general ineptitude at these things - I am not generally good with my hands.
Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and the quality of the space saver. I was also very pleased with how it was shipped - every piece was completely swathed in styrofoam and/or foam sheeting - there were absolutely no dings or scratches, even though the box came with a huge gash in it from shipping. I did find it a bit expensive - I don't shop for furniture very often, so maybe my expectations are unrealistic..."

Designers need to remeasure the height of water supply to the toilet bowl. The back low panel is in the way not unless you want to remove the water supply line. Designer needs to learn how to measure or the factory does not know how to measure the standard height of the water supply line in the US. I am unable to install the bottom cross bar.
The cam-tool is small and difficult to handle.
The back panel screw does not align to the bottom holes because the panel height is incorrect."

"yes, it's more orange than I care for, but other than that, it seems sturdy and functional and I am very pleased with it. Assembly was simple if you've worked with cams/bolts before. Overall, very pleased other than color."

"Assembly was not easy to follow directions. When we tried to lift the cabinet on top of the stand, it tipped a little bit and the bolt broke out of the pressed board. We had to glue it back together. The doors do not line up the way they should. We are going to have to buy washers to use as shims to give enough depth to hold the doors properly. For the money, I don't think I would buy this again."
