"Not as sturdy as it should be. I had to install braces to better connect the back to the base. It looks quite good -- just hope it holds up to use by five people!"

"Just what the doctor ordered. Appearance and size fit well in the space we needed it. Assembly was relatively easy. Would have liked the storage area to be slightly bigger, but then it might not have fit."

Nice, but hard to put together Date: July 23, 2009
"This is a great piece, but the pictures on the instx didn't always match the written instx, For example, the picture showed where to put the wooden dowels, but when you go to put in the screws, the dowels are in the way, then you end up trying to get the dowels back out.... as long as you don't ruin it putting it togehter, it is a really nice piece."

"Product is pretty much as advertised. It's lighter in weight than I had expected but appearance is pretty much what I expected.

I thought the instructions were easy to follow but can sure understand why some may have had difficulty. There are a number of different fasteners used but each bag of fasteners was clearly marked to correspond to the assembly instructions. The vendor was very generous in the number of fasteners they provided but failed to inform the consumer that they provided extras to replace the ones that rolled under the couch, etc. That may have created confusion. The vendor should have also included a note to "drill pilot holes as required" as it was impossible to manually install some of the screws without the use of pilot holes. I stripped the heads on a couple screws so the "extras" came in handy.

Another note to pay special attention to the seat lid orientation would prevent installing seat lid inverted. I did. I didn't notice the hole pattern for the lid support but the hardware was pretty cheezy so I threw it out anyway. Lid works fine without it.

Remember that the product AND the instructions were made in China, try to think through the installation INTENT (caption may not match exactly) and it should go together OK.

Mission Hall tree and bench Date: April 24, 2009
"I have purchased two other furniture pieces as well as this Mission Oak Hall tree and have found the craftsmanship and quality exceptional. This Hall Tree I had two contractors assemble for me and their comments were that the assembly/construction was easy and the quality of the product was of good quality and that they woulld invest in a similar product from this company. They were very impressed by this product."

Mission Hall Bench Date: April 11, 2009
"Once put together, it looks very nice. This is not an heirloom piece of furniture, but you're not paying for one either. All the parts were there, in fact there were extra of some screws, bolts, etc., which is always nice. My biggest complaint is that the instructions were not in the box, although there was a sticker on the box that said, "New Instructions". It was very easy to download the instructions from the web-site-- a real bonus. However, I have to say that the instructions that I downloaded were simply horrendous. I hope like heck that they are the instructions that were "old", and should have been replaced in the box. Parts and locations that didn't match up with the actual piece that I had in front of me were the norm, and not the exception. I have quite a bit of experience putting together things like this, and was able to eventually figure out what the diagram was trying to convey. I would rate the instructions as very poor. I just ordered another piece (a shelf unit), so hopefully the experience in that regard will be better."

Great for the Price Date: September 9, 2008
"This piece is a solid piece that my kids really love hanging their school bags and coats on. Plus the price was great! The only down side was putting it together - the back panels kept sliding out of place and it took a long time to do. But once you get it together then you'll love it!"
