"Red" is pink

"I desperately wanted these placemats and napkins. The pattern was just what I was looking for, and had they arrived in the color pictured by my computer monitor, ie matching their description of "red/yellow" and in a shade that I'd think is more popular in dining rooms anyway, I'd be in heaven now. But alas, I am returning these because they are more of a coral/pink color. The yellow, as mentioned in other reviews as well, is in fact more of a gold/mustard/orange color, which would have worked perfectly for me except alas for the "red." It is not maroon vs. red vs. rust, but actual pink! The quality overall, however, is quite nice, especially given their price, also pleasing. I had hoped I just got one with a poor dye job, and I phoned customer service to see about what was standard and a possible exchange. Customer service was quite helpful and fair, but I am returning these for a refund after hearing there that the manager says lots of people say it's more pink. Too bad it wasn't just mine. I like these designs, this quality, this price, this company, but I just have to say to possible buyers that if you are looking for red, this isn't it."

"I am sending this product back for one reason. The pattern is beautiful and the material is good quality, but the color is all wrong. The internet and catalog each showed a beautiful light gold background, perfect for my newly painted kitchen area. But when it arrived, the color is a deep, bright orange, not gold at all! It is an absolutely different color then what it shown. Sorry, but it is being returned."
