"We'd been looking for something for the corner of our room for ages and kept changing our minds. This wardrobe was perfect because the design details on the sides made it interesting from all angles. It looks fantastic in our room!
The only downside is that the sides and back are lower quality wood and aren't sturdy. We had wanted to add a shelf inside (instead of using the hanging bar) but can't because the sides/back can't support it. Instead, we're going to add a shelf that stands on its own on the bottom. It's only a minor problem in the grand scheme of things.
Overall, we love the item!"

"The items was designed to hang up clothes, and yet you have to turn the close to the side to put them in there. Its not worth the money, and the fees associated with it to be shipped are over the top and will probably keep me from purchasing another item from HD. But again, the clothes do not fit when you close the doors...that should be the basis of a closet, right?"

Hangers don't fit
Date:April 18, 2009
"The cabinet looks pretty but should be 1" deeper so the clothes can hang in there. You lose alot of space by having to angle everything because the hangers hit the doors. Overall, disappointed."

"The piece is beautiful. A little difficult to build but not terrible. Only downside is that the depth does not accommodate a standard size hanger, so items need to be angled to fit."

mixed review
Date:October 1, 2008
"For the amount this costed me and the effort it takes to assemble this, I would expect better. It was as advertised, but something unexpected happened.
Although the heighth, width, and depth were advertised; the problem is that I expected that the depth would accomodate regular size hangers. Why wouldn't they ?!!!
I did not know to double check this.
They do not. Regular size hangers will impact the front (the doors) and the back of the wardrobe. It should have been advertized that this wardrobe was specific to smaller style hangers, like hangers for slacks or something or may be hangers for dimunitive dresses for women.
So lately I have been using this ward drobe as a very expensive hamper.
Also for the construction and assembly, it should be designed with more margin on tolerance as one hangs the doors such that there is more clearance from the doors being able to hit each other once hung and closing them. Or at least there should be special instructions on how to size the door hanging efforts when installing the door hinges. Otherwise I just followed the instructions and they hit.
I would be interested in purchasing a larger, deeper, size ward drobe.

One giant flaw
Date:September 27, 2008
"Be aware that there is a major problem with the dimensions of this wardrobe: It's not deep enough to contain a standard-sized coat hanger! We can hang clothes in it, but only if there's enough space to basically push all the clothes back at an angle, so that the hangers are diagonal to the doors. We didn't discover this until after spending hours putting it together, so we decided to just keep it. It's sturdy and attractive. But if we'd realized it before we ordered it, I don't think we would have bought it (and we definitely wouldn't have paid that much)."

Beautiful, but after assembly, not worth the price
Date:August 28, 2008
"It was hard to assemble this - not because it had so many parts - but because the instructions were very poor. It would say "attach this to that", but not tell us which way, or how.
Also, it looks beautiful, but both drawers don't slide in and out smoothly.
And one of the wood pieces is not the same colour as the rest of the armoire, so someone made a mistake while putting together the parts before shipping them.
The reason it gets a 4 star from me is that it looks exactly the way it was advertized, and nothing broke while we were assembling it.
